We were finally going back home, Eli was driving and Indigo was running ahead of us. After what felt like fifteen-twenty minutes Indigo increased his speed. It looked like he was running after something.

Was he running after some animal he wanted to eat? He hadn't had anything since yesterday. He must've been really hungry. He had started running really fast, taking longer strides. Looking at him Eli started laughing.

Huh!

"What are you laughing at?" I asked him, looking at him directly. He shook his head, still laughing.

"What. What is it, tell me?" I asked again, eager and hoping he would tell me. He definitely knew why Indigo was running like that. Were they talking through the mind talking? I wanted to know. The hell I wanted to know. This guy was laughing at my brother and I did not want him to without him giving me a reason. I did not want to feel left out as well as I wanted to laugh too.

I narrowed my eyes at him and asked again, "Are you going to tell me or should I ask him?"

Eli cleared his throat but he couldn't stop smiling, "He found his m- uh girlfriend, you can say,"

Oh. That was such good news!

Now it was my time to laugh. I pointed my finger at him and started laughing at him. He thought I didn't know what that was. He raised his brow, increasing the car speed, matching that of Indigo's.

"What? What?" He asked, bewildered, his eyes still on the road but his head was slightly turned towards me.

"His mate. He found his mate." I said. He looked at me a little taken back but smiled anyway.

"So he has mentioned that to you," I nodded my head in a yes. I was more than happy he had found her. When he talked about mates he sounded a little sad about it. He wanted to find his mate soon I suppose. Eli continued talking while I looked ahead, "Took him five long months to find her and break the curse. Who would have thought he would end up finding her here."

What the hell did he just say?

"What are you talking about? I mean I know he can't shift back because of his curse. What was the mate part?" I asked him, moving in my seat to face him, wanting to clarify what he had just said.

"Um, uh-ba, he had the curse-and, um, I guess I am going to die." He blabbered something stupid. Why the hell would he die?. He narrowed his eyes, looking here and there trying to ignore me and pretended to concentrate on driving.

I raised my eyebrow looking directly at him, throwing daggers through my eyes. That would do it right. "Say it," I said, loud and clear.

"Um, the curse could only be broken when he found his mate. He had left the pack five months ago in search of her." He said and exhaled.

What?!

"Why did he not tell me about it? What if he wouldn't have found her here? He would have never found her if she wasn't here. What was he thinking?!" I said, sinking back in my seat and putting my head in my hands.

Indigo was selfless when it came to me. So damn selfless. Why would he do that? What if she wasn't here? What if he had never found her? I felt it, the yearning he had to find his mate when he talked about it in the morning. How could he do this to himself?
