CHAPTER 39: Winter

Violet

Indigo didn't yet tell me shit. He was so busy with everything. So I waited for him to be ready. I knew how much he struggled to bring up things to me that would make my head spin. He was just scared that I might get scared.

Did he not know me or what?

I let it go though. I wanted him to be sure about everything. So like every other day Jane took me to train early in the morning. We were learning to spare and by we I mean me. She was teaching me to bounce on my legs and change my footing while I used my hands to punch.

"Cut me some slack, woman." I groaned, stopping as I fell on my knees.

"Okay, you know what? I am just going to leave. I'll tell Indigo you are not prepared to participate in anything. And you know Indigo will listen to me, don't you?" She said and started to walk away.

"But it's just been yesterday-"

"What a weak little Alpha you are!" She shouted as she walked away.

She always said this to anger me.

"Hey! Do not say that again." I ran behind her and turned her around.

"Why? I don't see the point of not saying that again." She shrugged, making me angry.

"You just want to provoke me!" I said and punched her but she caught it. She punched me straight on my stomach, making me fall back. I clutched my stomach and cried, giving her a hard glare.

"You are being too soft on me. I want you to actually hit me! Or are you going to be so dependent on Indigo to save your sorry ass." She said, bending in front of me. She stood back up and laughed. "Right right! Who am I kidding? Of course your brother will save you." She said and began to walk away again.

The adrenaline rush in me made me so angry, I was fuming. Before she could walk away I swiped my leg over hers, making her fall down with a big thud.

How dare she bring up Indigo into this? I was the one being lazy and bringing Indigo into it just broke that fucking vein of laziness in my head.

I got up in one swift motion and sat on her legs, holding them in place. She tried to wriggle and turn over, kick her legs but I wasn't losing my grip. "I told you to not provoke me, Jane." I gritted my teeth and elbowed her back, making her grunt in pain. 

She breathed out heavily. "Well, I don't see you do anything about it. I know you'll always hide under Indigo's fur." She wheezed as I elbowed her back again.

But in the next second she had thrown me away from her back and was standing in front of me, smiling.

I did have a solid grip on her, how was she able to let go so soon?

"You don't focus your strength well. I could have recoiled at the start. But then how could I have tested your strength? Let's say you were at one in that matter."

"I am not a weak Alpha!" I stood up and held her leg to bring her down. She twisted her leg and dropped me down again, her knee now on my chest. I tried throwing a punch at her side but she blocked my hand again. Smiling, she shrugged.

My anger flared. I used my leg and kicked her back with as much force I could gather.

"Urgh!" She winced. I kept kicking my leg the same way until she backed up. Getting up I ran towards her and jumped on her, throwing her down. But she was quick. She pushed me growling and knocking a punch to my side. I fell hard on the ground.
