CHAPTER 44: Healing

Violet

I woke early the next day. I was a grade A sleeper but I didn't know what made me wake up. As I came down the stairs, I saw Indigo and Laura were only about to leave. Laura didn't look well to me since yesterday, so I just stared at her as she hugged me goodbye. They were going on a date and I had a house to myself.

Time to have a blast!

"Wake up, wake up!" I linked my friends.

Only Stella replied, "It's weekend, Vi."

"I know. Indigo and Laura aren't home the whole day today. We can have fun!" I linked them.

"I'm in." Nora and Oslo said together, in a sleepy voice. "I'll be there." Stella replied. "Roman too!" She continued quickly. "Isabella and I are in too!" Rosalina replied.

"ToTo!" I called out to Tory. Yes, I had a new nickname for her. I also sometimes called her 'Riri'.

"I'll come as I finish with work." Her voice was more lively than the others.

"Okay! See you soon!"

"Hey. Morning. I'll let you know in a while." Anaya, Arnold's sister, told me after some time.

I just came out of my bathroom and walked into the wardrobe as I began dressing when Winter made an appearance. "House to yourself, huh." she said and I smiled as I gasped. I was literally half naked but who cares.

"Damn!" I hugged her. "How the hell am I supposed to call you when I want to see you?" I asked her as she hugged me back.

"I haven't figured that out yet either. I'll find a way." She nodded, pulling back.

"So I'm having my friends over for some bash! You're so welcome, baby sis!" I told her, putting my pants on.

"I am not a baby! Don't call me that." She grumbled and walked out into the bedroom, plopping on the bed. "Woah! What's that?" She asked, pulling back the drawing sheets from under my bed.

I ran as fast as a lightning bolt. "Nothing!" I pulled them out of her grasp, and threw them down again.

"Really?" She raised both her eyebrows, eyeing me.

"I..It's nothing. I'll show you when it's done." I told her, and sat down beside her. "Let's go eat! Why the hell did I even sit down." I grumbled and dragged her down the hall and into the kitchen.

"You're a veggie I heard." Winter said, walking around the kitchen and opening the fridge.

"Yup!" I said and put some milk on the boil. "Who told you?" I asked.

"Who else? Your very own lover." She rolled her eyes, pulling out chocolate cream. I blushed, turning red and she laughed, sitting on the dinner table.

"Ermm.. So how's he? I mean, he was my best friend. That is why I am concerned...asking. Just asking." 

Fuck, I was crazy!

Concerned? Really Violet? I rolled my eyes in my head but I was, somewhere deep inside I was concerned.

"This unnamed romance between you two is toxic for me." Winter laughed, fanning her face. I glared at her, my cheeks still red from how frank Winter was. I threw a washcloth at her because she didn't stop.

"Eww! My pretty face." She threw it on the table, making a face at me and wiping off nothing from her face.

"Tell me!" I picked it up again and pointed it at her.
