Chapter9: Irish Luck

Zany's POV

So I put ' The Amazing Spider Man' movie in. Once all the loud music and screaming and shouting started you could hear Harry and Niall come running into the room to see what movie it was, since by the screaming they could tell that it wasn't another Disney movie.

Niall's POV

Me and Harry left Liam and Zayn a while ago. We've just been sitting here in our room messing around. We weren't about to watch Liam get all worked up over a cartoon movie again. He does this every time.

When we first came up to our room since Harry and I are sharing one we didn't know what to do. After a while we decided to play a game of cards. I wasn't so sure about it at first, since Harry is a pretty competitive lad. But I eventually gave in after he started to beg me to play.

We started off by playing 'go fish'. It's one of my favorite card games. I kept winning and I could tell that it was starting to get to Harry, by the look on his face. He wasn't smiling anymore. Instead his lips were cringed together and in his eyes I could see the determination he had to win. But I was just sitting here smiling and laughing have a good time, which I think got to Harry even more. He kept glancing from his cards, to me, to all the cards already laid down. Now he was licking his lips, I'm guessing he's meaning to imply that he thought he was going to win this round. Finally he asked me " got any three's?" Now he was even talking in an American accent like they do in those poker movies. Or at least I think he was trying to. He must really be into this game. We learned this game from Paul back when we were on tour in America. Paul said he had picked the game up from a friend when we were there.

He had one card left as did I. As I looked down at my last card, it was the seven of heart. Not a three, which is what Harry needed to win. Knowing how up set it would make Harry a smirk came across my lips. As I started to say the words " go fish", I could see Harry tense up with anger. He drew his card making a big deal by huffing about it.

"Lad got any sevens?" I asked. Then he started to smile so his dimples were showing and said "go fish". I could see how happy he was about this, thinking he still had a chance. As I drew from the deck I looked at my new card. A seven of diamonds. Now I was the one smirking. I put the card in my hand and slammed them both down. Smacking the ground. I jumped up and said "I win! I win! I win!" as I started to do an Irish jig. Harry threw his cards to the other end of the room and said " damn you Niall and your Irish luck!"

After I settled down from rubbing it in Harry's face about he losing again it got quiet.

Harry's POV

I was just sitting on the floor, leaning on the bed, while i was on my phone. I was upset with Niall at the moment. I can never win a game when I play against him. It's all because of his Irish luck. I've never seen Niall lose a game, ever. It just makes me so mad. How can someone be so lucky? It just makes no since. I was just blowing off some steam about the whole losing thing, while I was on twitter just checking up on things.

I started to hear some noise coming from down stairs. It sounded like screaming. I quickly thought the worst and got up and rushed to see what was going on. As I rushed out of the room I noticed Niall decided to come with me. When I finally got to the living room I came to find out that they had now put the movie 'the amazing Spider Man' in to watch.

But before I went to sit down I noticed Sydney and Liam sitting pretty close to each other on the couch. Her head was on his shoulder and his arm was snaked around her waist. They both looked very pleased with themselves. I took a glance over in Lou's direction to see what he thought about this whole thing. To my surprised i don't even think he noticed. He was just sitting there watching the movie like nothing was wrong. This pissed me off a little. Why can't Sydney do that with me? Why did it have to be Liam? And to top it all of if that was me over with Sydney right now Louis would kick my ass!

Sydney's POV

I was just enjoying everything right now. I could tell that I was going to have a good time living with the boys. They already felt like home. Then as I was watching Andrew Garfield playing a kick ass spider man I heard a huge 'thud!' Causing me to look at the nearest person, seeing that me and Liam were all wrapped up with each other. We quickly pulled ourselves apart and took a step away from each other. I glanced over at Liam and saw him blush and look at the ground. Can you say awkward. I'm just lucky Louis didn't see us or he would of had a cow.

How did we even manage to get so wrapped up in each other with out noticing? Am I that comfortable around him already? But why did it feel so awkward? We are just friends..... Or he's just one of my brother's best friends.

Harry's POV

I then looked for Niall since I thought he was right behind me and I didn't see him anywhere. Then I heard a 'thud' come from the hallway beside me. Everybody jumped at the noise. I also notice Syd and Li quickly unattached themselves from each other. I turned my head while rolling my eyes at them, to where the 'thud' came from to find Niall on the ground wrapped up in a rug and chips everywhere.

It was a total mess! Louis and Zayn rushed over to help him up. But instead of taking their help Niall started to roll around laughing. Everybody just had confused looks on their faces.

Niall's POV

I jumped up after I saw Harry storm out of the room. I decided to follow him, but half way down the stairs I got a bit hungry. It's been about maybe an hour since I last ate. So when I got to the bottom of the stair I turned left into the kitchen instead of following Harry to the living room.

I went straight to the cabinet to see what snack foods we had. I opened the doors to it and to my surprise it was almost empty. Why is that? I don't think I ate that much of it already. I just shrugged it off and grabbed a bag if chips.

I went down the hall way when I guess I just forgot to pick up my foot and fell to the ground. I landed right on my back. I tried to wiggle my way up (don't ask me how wiggling was gonna get me off the ground). But that just got me tangled up more in the rug I had landed on.

The next thing I knew everyone had ran to where I was looking all worried and what not. Louis and Zayn tried to help me up but their facial expressions looked like they thought I had died. I couldn't help but laugh. All I did was fall and they thought I was probably dieing. I always fall what made this time any different.

After I calmed down I noticed how tangled I was with the rug now. It had me pinned. There was no way I was getting out of this mess now. I looked around and saw chips everywhere. That's most likely from me eating the chips when I fell since the bag was open.

I looked up at everyone looking down at me. They all had confused looks on their faces. I gave them a look that said 'a little help' and Louis and Zayn did just that. They bent down and tried to unwrap me from that evil rug. Then they both gave me a hand and pulled me up from the ground. "thanks boys." Liam just rolled his eyes and said "clean this mess up." walking away shaking his head at me.

"ugh do I have to?" I asked Louis since he was the oldest one here. He just shook his head agreeing with Liam. "I'll help you Niall." Sydney said. As everyone went back to the movie me and Sydney stayed there in the hall till every last chip was picked up. "I'm not even positive how they even got there." talking about the chips on the flour, on the table near by and even all the way back in the kitchen. Sydney just chuckled at my joke and said "It's fine Ni. Just next time don't let the rug win the fight, okay?" then she gave me a wink. "I'll try my best if there ever is a next time." I sure hope there isn't but knowing me there probably will be.

Sydney put her arm around my shoulder, looked at me and said "only you Niall." and laughed.
