Chapter 17: Sydney's Birthday *part2*

I can't believe they showed up! "Drew! Andy!" I said wrapping my arms around my two best friends. "Hey happy birthday Syd." Andy said as I let go and looked at the tall boy in front of me. "Yeah happy birthday girl." Drew said pushing his glasses back up on his face.

"How are you guys? I haven't seen you in forever!" I said still excited to see them. "Well I've gotten a job." Drew said. I gasped, since Drew always said how he didn't want a job because he doesn't like following other peoples rules. "I know. " he huffed. Me and Andy both laugh at him.

"So how have the boys been treatin you?" Andy asked getting all serious. I nudged his shoulder "I'm fine." I said with an assuring smile. "Okay then." Andy has always had a protective stance over me. I'm not sure why though, maybe because Louis has been gone for a while or something.

"To lighten the mood," Drew started "how has your birthday been so far?" I grinned "well I went shopping earlier with Eleanor." But Andy cut me off "who's that?" "Oh that's her." I said searching for her in the club and pointing her out. "Ooh she's fit." He said licking his lips. "Calm down there, that's Louis' girlfriend." Once I said that he did settle down. And huffed "whatever".

"Anyways we went shopping, and the boys made me breakfast this morning and oh yeah." I put my wrist in front of their faces "got me this." I said showing off my new bracelet. "That's so cute." Drew said. "I know!" I gushed. "Eh it's okay." Andy stated. "What's wrong?" I asked laying my hand on his shoulder. But he just shook it off. "Is someone jealous?" Drew said and that happened to catch Andy's attention. His eyes went wide "why would I be jealous?" He practically yelled. "Because the guys get to spend all this time with Syd and you don't." I frowned my eyebrows. Was this true?

"That's not it! It's just.." He started yelling but stopped mid-sentence. "Never mind" and he stormed off. I was getting all worked up, like I might cry. When Drew saw me he quickly wrapped his arms around me and pulls me close. "Everything's going to be fine. He just needs to blow off some steam." I calmed down and nodded, knowing he was right. "Do let this ruin your party doll." "I won't." I half smiled. "Good. Now go have fun." Now I really was smiling "ok I'll see you around." I hugged drew then

I wet off to find other people to talk to when I saw Wesley and Keaton from Emblem3! "Uh hi." I said awkwardly. "Hey are you Sydney?" Wesley asked me. "Yeah. I'm the birthday girl!" I said cheery. "We'll happy birthday then." Wesley said. "Thanks. So how did you guys know about the party?" I asked. "Niall told us about it and said its be cool if we dropped by." Keaton spoke. "We'll it's really awesome of you guys to stop by." "it's no problem." Wesley said smiling. "Yeah it really isn't." Keaton chimed in. Before i walked away I said "how old are you keaton?" He looked embarrassed. "17..." I cocked my eyebrow "and they let you in?" I asked. "Yeah we were on the list so they didn't check our IDs." "Oh. Thanks again for stopping by." I said waving goodbye.

I quickly went to find the boys. I saw them with a group of people talking in the corner. I walked up behind Niall and wrapped my arms around him, hugging him. "Thank you." I said. He was startled at first but when he saw who it was he hugged me back and said "what for?" I let go and looked at him. "For inviting Wesley and Keaton!" He grinned "your welcome. But sorry Drew wasn't here he had a family thing." "Oh it's fine. It was really nice of you to do that." I said. "Anything for my Sydie-bear." He said chuckling.

Just then I remembered he was with a group of people. I looked at them and they were all looking at me, but one stuck out from the others. I didn't know him but he had blond hair styled up, and a lip ring around his bottom lip. But what got me was his blue eyes. Then Niall said "oh Sydney these are the boys from 5 Seconds Of Summer. They're the band we took on tour with us." "Oh cool." I said looking at the four guys in front of me. "I'm Ashton." Said the one with amazing cheek bones and dimples, also wearing a bandana in his messy hair. But what got me was his accent. "I'm Calum." Said the darker one raising his hand. "I'm Michael." Spoke the one with dyed blue hair who was rather pale. Then the last one "my names Luke." He said making eye contact. They all had the same accent.

"So you guys are in a band then?" I asked making conversation. "Yeah we all sing but I play bass." Calum said. "I'm on drums." Ashton said playing pretend drums with his fingers. "Me and Luke play guitar." Michael said. I looked over at Luke and he nodded in agreeance.

Niall left somewhere in the conversation, probably for another drink, making me realize that I must of set my drink down somewhere since I didn't have it anymore. "I love your accents'." I said smiling. "Yeah we're all Australian." They all shared smiles and nodes. "Well I love your accent." I was shocked. I looked over at Luke as he looked up from the ground to me. The rest of the boys got quiet, waiting to see what would happen next. We didn't break eye contact for what seemed like forever till Michael spoke up. "We're just gonna go.. And talk to other people." He said giving the other boys a look. "Yeah. We'll see ya around." Calum said as they all walked off leaving me and Luke, and I saw Ashton wink before he left.

We took a seat on the sofa that was by us. I didn't know what to say to him, until he said "happy birthday by the way." "Thanks. Louis and the boys threw this for me." "Cool. Are you with any of the boys?" He asked shyly. My cheeks got a bit red. "No." I said looking in his light blue eyes. "So no boyfriend then?" "Nope." I said nodding my head. "Good." He said grinning, revealing his dimple.

I hadn't noticed how close we were till then. We were facing each other and Luke's arm was resting on the top of the sofa leaning against it.

He was so cute and nice plus I was really loving his lipring. "You look very nice tonight." He said quietly then looked away. "Thanks." I said blushing from his sweet compliment.

"So do you think it would be okay if I asked for your number?" He finally said more confident. "Yeah sure." I gave him my number and he put it in his phone and we continued talking for a while.

"So what big birthday is this?" He asked smiling showing his amazing teeth and dimples. "My 18th!" I said excitedly. "Oh." He said rather off. "What?" I questioned. "I just didn't think you were that old." He admitted. "Well how old are you?" I asked. "I'm only 17." He said a little ashamed and looked away. "That's fine." I said and he looked up at me. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Of course. It doesn't matter." And again we both shared a moment where we both couldn't help but grin.

Before either of us could say anything else Louis walked over to us and we pulled apart a bit. "Hey Luke, Syd." He said taking a sip of his drink. "Hey Louis." Luke said like it wasn't a big deal that he's my brother. "So you having fun Syd?" Lou asked me. "Yes! I can't believe you guys would do this!" I gushed. I stood up and walked over to him. "I better say hi to everyone." "Yeah we invited quit a lot of people." He said then nodded at us and walked off.

Luke quickly stood up by me. "I guess I should go thank everyone for coming." I said knowing that I would have to leave him. "I understand." I went to hug him not knowing if he was okay with it or not but he put his arms around me with no hesitation. "I'll see you later." "Okay. Make sure to text me." I said making him laugh. "Of course." And I walked off leaving him there in the corner alone.

The rest of the party went by kinda fast after that. Perrie introduced me to the other 3 girls in her band Little Mix. They were all very nice and kind. Then a little bit after midnight Louis decided that it was time to leave, since he felt pretty tipsy and I guess Niall was hammered. Liam didn't really drink so he helped me get everyone around to leave. Zayn decided to stay longer and just ride home with Perrie.

'This really was a great day.' I though as I realized what all happened and how lucky I was to have such wonderful friends and family.

I know it's been a long time since I've updated... basically I had an idea for the story but I was okay with it but didn't love it. Then when I was on youtube watching music video a I got an idea that I loved! so I'm going with it.....
