Happiness, love, laughter, joy

Those are ingredients for a wonderful family.

But looks like my parents never learned how to cook.

I was an only child,

My dad was an addict

My mom is very mean to me.

Everything I do

They get pissed.

They never embraced me, loved me, or cared for me.

They are always outside, drinking.

They were always with their friends, laughing.

Everyday, I do chores, cook, and clean.

My parents have sex every time.

Kiss each other every time.

Once I do something wrong,

You get hit.

You do something even worse,

They cut you.

I’ve had hundred of scars everywhere.

My arms, legs, back, and stomach.

They say that every parent does this

But I didn’t believe them.

Now I’m thirteen,

Strong but quiet.

No friends

No happiness.

My parents died when I was 10.

For some reason I don’t hate them anymore.

Why?
