We walked throughout the festival.
He was holding my hand,
he never let go,
forgetting that we are holding hands.
He was so amazed of the trees.
I was even more amazed.
We bought foods on booths.
Loved the smell,
the sounds,
the colorful colors.
I’ve never been in a
Cherry Blossom Festival before.
Now I’m spending that time
with Luke.
We then decided to sit on a shaded spot
under a Cherry Blossom tree.
Luke then spread a soft blanket
he was keeping in his backpack.
I started to take food out of my picnic basket.
I took out,
sandwiches,
cupcakes,
drinks,
noodles,
utensils,
and chopsticks.
After it was 7:00
the beauty of the Cherry Blossoms
started to show.
The leaves started to fall
to the ground,
swaying,
and landing on our noses.
I smiled,
feeling eyes from Luke,
staring at me.
After a few minutes,
fireworks began to make a show.
Showing smilies,
people,
flowers,
and finally the Cherry Blossom Tree.
I felt Luke’s hands go over my shoulder,
pulling me closer to him.
I stiffened for a moment,
but allowed myself to rest on his chest.
Warm as always.
I’m glad that I took him with me.
