It was the first week of
winter break.
It was as cold as ice.
I got sick on my first week,
but Luke took care of me.
It feels like,
every time he’s there,
I feel better already.
He came to my room,
finding me in blankets,
towels,
and a heater.
I didn’t want him to see me this way.
I look like a mess
but he still took care of me.
He checked my temperature,
98 degrees.
“This is not good.”
“It’ll pass by.
I’ve had ones worse than that.”
His eyes widened,
making him look even more worried.
“I’ll make sure that you get your medicines.”
“Ok.”
The people that I pay for my rent to
came upstairs to see how I’m doing.
They were by the door,
Luke let them come in.
“Is she ok?”
Said the wife.
“She’ll be fine.
She just needs the medicine.”
Luke replied.
They sighed in relief.
