RanVeer OS: His Solace!

It's been a few days since Rani went missing and with each passing day, he was getting more and more inconsolable. Her calls definitely worked a lot in calming him and not setting the whole world on fire but her absence in their home, in their room was creating a havoc in his heart. He needed to see her, he need to have her in his arms and just forget the world. But the fact that nothing could be done, made him angrier than usual.

One casual day, he was sitting on the sofa in the living area remembering her when his eyes fell on the phone kept carelessly on the central glass table.

'This phone looks exactly like the one Rani has! ' The thought crossed his head.

And in the next second he took out his own phone, dialling Rani's number as if he knew it was her phone only. But what came as a shock was that the phone vibrated instantly with name 'Doctor Saab' flashing on the screen.

Tears of happiness came in his eyes on seeing that.

'Rani is here! She is here! But where?' He thought and spotted champa passing by so he stopped her and asked whose phone was it.

"Uhh Kunwar sa it's of Devi! " She told him.

"Oh! Ok! You can go! " He dismissed her and walked away as well in search of the certain servant.

After struggling for more than 15 minutes, he finally found her in Ranisa's room, getting scolded for dropping tea on Ranisa's outfit.

Veer being veer couldn't see it and to add, his rebellious nature these days always was active specially in cases against Ranisa.

"Wait Ranisa! How can you even talk to her like that? She is old! She deserves all the respect for working even in this age but here you are always disrespecting others as if they aren't even humans. " Veer yelled.

"But Veer.. " Ranisa tried to explain but Veer ignored her and turned towards Devi.

"I am sorry from Ranisa's side. I... "

"She is your mother! You shouldn't talk to her like that! " Devi replied making him surprised as there was only one person in this entire world who would say something like that even after getting scolded.

'His Rani! All rounder where are you?'

He thought before he looked at Devi and nodding his head slightly.

"Tell me what's my wife's phone doing with you? Did you steal her phone? " He quickly changed the topic to the main issue which got him here.

She on the other hand got shocked seeing her phone in his hand.

'Now you are gone Rani! This time Doctor Saab won't spare you at all!' She thought as he continued to glare at her.

"Uhh Kunwar sa, who told you that it's your wife's phone? It's mine! " She told him nervously.

"Really? Then why does it has my number feed as Doctor Saab?" He added.

"Umm! I guess someone is calling me, I will just go! " She quickly walked out making Veer's doubt go more firm.

A few hours later, darkness engulfed as the night was falling. Veer was passing through the corridor while getting anxious as Rani hadn't called him since so many hours.

But how would she even call him when her phone is with him only? Sighing she continued to eat the food, sitting on the floor of the kitchen area with a sad look on her face.

Suddenly, he walked in with a smirk on his face which made her terrified to no end as she didn't know what thing he had in his mind this time.

"You are eating food? Go ahead! I will wait! " He said casually before making himself comfortable by leaning against the kitchen counter opposite her.

She nodded her head and ate only a morsel before she felt her appetite all gone. She quickly put the plate aside and washed her hands in the sink before turning towards him whose eyes we're fixated on her.

"Umm! I am done! You can say any work you have for me, Kunwar sa! " She said in the high pitched groggy tone which she was using these days.

"Hmm? " He almost whispered before taking step closer to her making her shocked and with one swift motion he removed her spectacles behind which she was hiding her sparkling eyes.

"What are you doing Kunwar sa? "

"Really? You still think you can trick me All rounder? " He whispered as his breath fanned against her face.

"You know? What? I mean how? " She stuttered.

"You might be an amazing actor but I ain't an idiot as well! I figured it's you!"

"I missed you so much, Rani! " He confessed softly cupping her face.

"I missed you too Doctor Saab! " She said in a teary eyed tone. He closed her eyes and slowly touched her forehead with his own, cherishing the moment of solace, his solace.

"You won't ask, why I did the things I did? " She asked softly breaking the comfortable silence.

"Ahn! Never! If you are doing something then you must have given a lot of thought to it. And I am with you always! " He told her with smile which was exclusively for her only.
