there he was. tom hayden.

he was hunched down on a sofa with a book in hand. when you walked in, his eyes almost immediately met with yours. his intimidating green eyes burning into yours.

he had squinted eyes, and was furrowing his brow. he had an abnormally large, and odd nose. he had these long plump lips that were slightly parted. he had a extremely intense jawline and his cheekbones were very defined. his whole face was covered in freckles. his hair was sandy brown with a hint of grey. some curls fell over his forehead, while the rest sat perfectly atop his head. he wore a halfway buttoned, light blue shirt. his sleeves were rolled up, revealing his freckly boney arms. he held in his hands, a black notebook, and a pencil twirling in his fingers.

there were other people in the room, but he's all you noticed. his unique look struck you and you were in awe. you saw him as a beautiful person.

"everyone this here is kunslers niece y/n l/n. y/n, this is everyone." abbie introduced. you were snapped out of your thoughts and your cheeks grew red from embarrassment, as everyone stared at you. including tom. he didn't take his eyes off of you yet.

"hi." you awkwardly smiled and waved, looking at your feet.

"welcome y/n! my names rennie. rennie davis." a man, not much taller than you stuck his hand out to you. he had big black glasses on and a kind smile on his face. his hair was nicely brushed to the side. he wore a white buttoned up short sleeved shirt, tucked into his jeans. he also held a clipboard in his other hand.

you took his hand in your and shook it, "pleasure." you beamed. rennie let go of your hand and quickly went back to where he was leaned against the wall. seemed awkward, but nice.

"i'm jerry!" a man about the same height as you jumped up from the couch to yell. he had a cheery expression on his face. he had dark dark brown eyes that looked ever so kind. he had bushy black hair that was pushed back with a red and yellow knitted headband. he had on a green and yellow striped shirt, his neck covered his all kinds of necklaces. he had a joint in one hand, and his other in the air waving to you. he walked up to you and just stood and smiled.

"jerry rubin?" you questioned sticking your hand out for him to shake. "yup!" he laughed shaking your hand lazily. you nodded and laughed back as he walked back to the arm of the sofa he was on before.

"john fronies." grunted a man sitting next to tom. he had long sandy blonde hair down to his shoulders, and a beard. he looked tired. he wore a blue flannel with his arms crossed over his chest.

you awkwardly nodded back to him, in a "hello" kind of way.

"i'm lee weiner!" exclaimed a very small man. he looked young. he had circle shaped glasses and a goofy smile. his hair was brown and looked not touched. just natural. he wore a big blue sweater and sat on the ground, back against the sofa. he held his legs close to his chest. he was adorable.

you waved and smiled to the small man on the ground.

"david dellinger." a larger man chimed in, who was leaned against the wall next to rennie. he was a taller and more plumped man. he had not a lot of hair and had a worried look on his face. he wore a grey suit.

you waved to him before meeting eyes with him. tom.

"tom hayden." he mumbled in a gruff voice. his intense stare was making you nervous and erupt with butterflies in your stomach. you just looked right back at him. you saw from the corner of your eye, abbie looking at you and then at tom, with a confused expression on. you shot your eyes away from his, which was hard because he was nice to look at.

"it's great to meet you all. do you know where i can find my uncle though?" you inquired to distract yourself from toms gaze.

"i think he's upstairs in his office." explained rennie, pointing up a set of stairs. "thanks." you mumbled before rushing up the stairs.

you came to a room full of desks and papers. a door was at the end of it so you walked up to it and opened it. inside were 3 people. 2 men and a girl.

all their eyes shot to you. "o-oh i'm sorry i didn't know-" you stuttered, but were cutoff by the man sitting behind the desk. "no no, come in y/n!" he warmly welcomed. it was william kunsler. your uncle.

he had grey hair down to his shoulders that was slicked back. he had down turned brows and eyes and wore a happy expression on his face. he wore a grey button up shirt with a black tie.

"this is my niece, y/n l/n. this is leonard wineglass and bernadine deohel." he gestured to the man and woman standing in front of his desk.

one was a extremely tall man. he had grey ruffled hair, and big big eyes. his nose was big, but you liked big noses. he wore a white buttoned shirt that was wrinkled and sleeves rolled up. he was hot. like old man kind of hot. but still, damn.

the other was a brunette girl with a small smirk on her lips. she was breathtaking. she had glorious long brown hair parted in the middle. her eyes were big and inviting, as was her smile. she wore a light green sweater and a long black skirt.

"it's nice to meet you both." you smiled, shuffling your feet awkwardly.

"well?" asked william. you rose on of your eyebrows in confusion at him. "where's my hug?!" he exclaimed with open arms.

you giggled and ran into his arms. you hadn't seen him in over 10 years. "it's good to see you willie." you mumbled into his chest with a smile. that's what you called him as a child, and it just kinda stuck. everyone called him will or bill otherwise.

he chuckled and pulled out of the hug. he rested his hands on your shoulders, to get a better look at you. "my, how you've grown." he smiled. you smiled back.

"i've got some work i have to finish up, so if you wouldn't mind, bernadine here can show you your room." he advised.

"okay." you nodded. "i trust you two will get along, so i suggest you share a room, as well to save space." he alleged. you nodded and followed bernadine out the door.
