I was a mess. I never felt so exhausted and dirty in my life.

My hair that was rolled tightly in a bun, was now disheveled. Half of my silver hair had come down while the other half looked messily in a bun.

My clothes were covered in dirt. I also had smudges in my face as well. Blood stained my shirt, making me look like a wild creature. I still had my sword out, and it was leaving a deep trail in the earth. My eyes unwillingly closed often. They felt heavy from the lack of sleep. I let out a ragged breathe and prayed that the camp was close. I don't even know where I am going, my vision is blurry every time I open them.

I rely on my scent. I follow Alek's scent. I know I was in the right track when his scent kept getting stronger. It brought comfort and hope, it was the only thing that kept me walking to him.

After what seemed like a millennium, I heard his even snores. Rubbing my eyes, I forced them open. Finally, with much energy I was able to see clearly.

Alek was in the same spot since I last seen him. He laid on his side with his arms spread open, as if he was waiting for me to come back. I smiled softly as a huge wave a relief passed. Alek was safe.

Abruptly, I felt my throat burned immensely and I whimpered in pain. I couldn't bare it anymore; it felt like someone was pouring acid in my throat. It was agonizing, I couldn't concentrate on nothing else but on the pain.

The cut that Hypnos gave me was even more excruciating. I could feel the torturous venom flowing in my body.

I had no strength left, and soon my knees gave out and I landed on the ground with a harsh thump.

Surprisingly, that woke Alek up. I thought he wasn't going to wake up for a couple more hours. I guess he's a light sleeper.

"Alice?" He said sleepily. His seductive voice distracted me from the pain. I closed my eyes and try to even my breathing, but it was no use. I knew the venom was going to kill me.

"Alice?" He said again, but he sounded concern. I heard him tumble from the sleeping bag to get up.

"I'm right here." My voice came raspy and low. It hurts to talk, it feels like a thousand needles prickling me every time I try to.

"Holy hell." I opened my eyes and I saw Alek running towards me. His hair was messy and his green eyes were wide with concern. "What happen? Jesus Alice, where were you?"

I couldn't hear him. All I could think of is the pulse in his wrist, neck, chest. I could hear it thumping rapidly, the alluring noise.

Just one drink. Nothing else...

No!

"Get away from me!" I cried. I won't hurt Alek, not now, not ever.

His eyes flashed with hurt and he stopped on his tracks. I squeeze my eyes, attempting to focus on something else, not on his blood. I could already imagine the sweet, metallic taste going down my throat. I vaguely remembered how it fell drinking from him. The hot, wonderful substance drowning my pain, replacing it with numbness. Oh, what an extraordinary feeling.

I felt his presence right next to me and I snapped my eyes open. "No, please Alek," I begged. "I don't want to hurt you."

"You're thirsty," he all but said. I stayed silent, just felling the huge pains in my throat and shoulder. Alek grabs my head and places it on his lap, his eyes dark and empty. I could see my reflection in his eyes and I look away.

The familiar image burn in my mind, and in a flash all of the gruesome memories come back.

The village.

The humans.

Delphemium.

Dell...

My sister...

"Let me help," he rasped. I looked at him in surprised. Over my dead was I going to let him get hurt because of me.

"No," I commanded.

"Yes!" He snarled. My eyes widen in shock at his hostility. Why was he so determined to aid me, even it if means hurting himself? It has been a long time since I was cared for. Ever since my parents passed away, I always tend myself. No one helped me but I never complained. Somehow, Alek brought back the memories when my mother always aided me when I was scathed.

"Please let me," he begged. I stared at his ashen face and it stunned how much he wanted to help. Hie eyes held such determination, making it harder for me to resists.

His blue eyes met mine and I observe how all of his emotions were kept hidden behind the irises of his eyes. All at once, I felt my throat tighten at the unbearable pain. I couldn't hold it anymore, not when he was set on helping.

I caressed his cheek softly, all the while I felt my fangs lengthen. His blue orbs stared at me passionately, his breathe came out in small pants and I knew he was already affected by me. It wasn't me anymore, the monster inside me had then taking control. I pushed Alek to the ground rather forcefully causing him to inhale sharply.

"Pleasure and pain," I whisper as I crawled rather seductively to him. Alec stared at me with lust clouding his eyes. His leaned on his elbows watching me carefully, as if he was predicting my next move.

"You're so beautiful," he breathed. I glanced at him from my eyelashes and smile at him.

I have heard that compliment thousands of times. Every time I hunt my prey, it's the very first thing I hear come out of their lips. But hearing from Alek made my heart thump frantically. For a brief moment, I was afraid my ribs would break from the hard pounding.

I stared at him and mentally swore to hurt him a less as possible. Alek was my everything, I would never forgive myself if something happens to him.

I was on top of him then, his eyes were wide and his breathe became small and quick. All was forgotten, the pain on my shoulder, the situation we were in, the mission, the danger. All I could focus was his pulsing veins, which was music to my ears.

I trailed my nose on his neck. The smell was so intoxicating, so alluring that it was so hard to take things slowly. I felt him shudder underneath me, the small gesture made me grinned. Slowly and tentatively, I let my tongue wet his collarbone and I heard him groan in pleasure.

Hearing him made me waste no time. With a last look at him lustful eyes, I gripped his wrist, locking them in the ground and I dove into his neck.
