| Alice's POV |

I watched, rather frustrated, as I saw Alek ogled at the damn harpy in front of us. His eyes twinkled in admiration as if she was Aphrodite herself. I scowled and crossed my arms. Not like I was jealous or something, but I don't want to break his heart when I rip her to shreds. Seriously, what's there to be jealous of? She's a bird goddammit!

Kill her.

"Look at her Alice. She so beautiful!" He smiled brightly. I scoffed and decided to call off my swords. I can't believe he's making me drop my guard off. What's more, I can't believe he dropped his guard the second he saw her.

At first, I thought that my history was wrong. Harpies are supposed to be ugly creatures, not a sex magnet like this one. But then, she's in the Underworld, so that meant that the spell once showered upon her had already descended.

And now my naive boyfriend was gawking at her.

Kill her.

"Don't kill her," he begged. "Spare her life and leave her alone."

I glared at him but he wasn't paying attention to me for his eyes wouldn't leave hers. Instantly, her faced crunched up and her pink lips formed and O, making her look like she was in pain. She closed her eyes and then bared her teeth and that's when the second wave of scream hit my ears, producing my eardrums to ache in pain.

"Fuck!" How did I not see this coming! She's a harpy for a fuck's sake, she's making her claim of Alek and she sees that he's with me.

That's right bitch!

Kill her.

Kill her.

Kill her.

KILL HER.

KILL HER.

KILL HER!

Immediately, I called my pair of Scimitar swords and tried to ignore the excruciating pain. The harpy flapped her wings as she saw that I was about to attack. No, she won't fly away! She's now my prey, she won't leave this place without me killing her.

My whole body felt numb and my thoughts were jumbled. I couldn't think of anything else except for the harpy. The pain was still there yet I couldn't feel it. I was burning with rage, fuming with anger. She. Was. Dead.

"No! Please don't kill her! She's just defending herself!" I heard Alek behind me. He grabbed my elbow but I pushed him away and the next second he flew a few feet from the impact of my push. However, I didn't care. My object right now was the abomination.

"You're dead, you piece of shit!" I growled. Even in my own ears, I sounded cold and distant. I wasn't myself anymore.

I crouched and pointed my swords forward. My right leg swung back and instantly I pushed, and that was it, I was running. In less than a second, I was face to face to the harpy and she was shocked with horror. I parted my legs to balance myself and in one swift movement I slashed the stupid creature, and she was gone.

All that was left of her was the necklace and the few white feathers that hung in the air.

I breathe in harshly and I spun around to see Alek in the floor, leaning in a tree with a stricken look in his face.

"Y-You killed her," he whispered so low but I could clearly hear him.

"So?" I spat. "Is there a fucking problem?" I was sick and tired of his lovely dove eyes to that harpy!
