After attending the dance team practice early in the morning, Yeonjun had decided to follow Kai around. He didn't realize how attached he had become to Soobin until the man was gone, hoping that following Kai would make him feel less lonely. Even if Kai had no idea he was around, Yeonjun was still somehow comforted by the boy's presence.
However, Kai's day was as boring as ever. Today just happened to be a day filled with lectures rather than dance classes. Since Kai was a freshman, Yeonjun had remembered most of the material. Even though Yeonjun was very popular with other students, he also excelled at his academics, making sure to stay on top of his studies.
After the last of Kai's lectures, the man looked like he was heading to the cafeteria. Even though he wanted to follow his friend, Yeonjun had become used to Soobin sharing his food and knew that he would just be watching Kai eat. So, he decided to head back to Soobin's dorm in hopes of getting some rest, especially after the exhausting practice earlier in the day.
However, when he was on his way to the dorm, he saw a familiar figure in the distance, one he had only seen a couple days ago. The slightly long black hair was usually the dead giveaway, Yeonjun recognizing the man as another one of his friends. Yeonjun decided to follow the man, expecting him to either be heading to his dorm or band rehearsal.
When Yeonjun saw Beomgyu turn away from the music building, Yeonjun couldn't help but look puzzled. He decided to continue to follow Beomgyu, curious as to where the boy was headed. He jogged slightly to catch up with the boy, only walking a couple steps behind. He would give anything to allow Beomgyu to notice his presence, but his curiosity was currently taking over his want for connection. He watched as Beomgyu made another turn towards the chemistry building, stopping as his head tilted to the side.
"What is Beomgyu doing here? I mean, no offense, but he always hated the sciences, other than psychology of course. Why would he come to the chemistry building?" Yeonjun looked around, knowing that it was likely around 4-5PM, the same time Beomgyu normally had band rehearsal. "Why isn't he going to rehearsal?"
Yeonjun jogged again slightly to try and catch up. He saw Beomgyu turn a corner to where there was an outdoor seating area next to the building that held most of the sciences. Yeonjun was breathing faster as he jogged, his forehead lacking the sweat he instinctively thought would be there. When he turned the corner, he saw something he didn't expect.
"T-Taehyun? Why's Beomgyu meeting with Taehyun? Wait ..." Yeonjun looked back into his memories of the night of Soobin's incident, remembering that they were together then as well. "They were together the other night, too. Maybe Taehyun finally talked to Beomgyu about what happened a couple months ago."
Yeonjun couldn't help but smile as he saw Taehyun look up at Beomgyu, the smile on Taehyun's face growing as he closed his notebooks and placed them in his backpack. Yeonjun was glad to see Taehyun happy, the younger having always been mostly distraught and anxious the months before he died. He watched as Taehyun stood up, placing the backpack on his shoulder.
