I know Jason and Tim aren't part of this... universe, movie series... whatever it is that I'm basing this off of, but you know what? I don't care.

Manette's POV

I sighed softly and opened my eyes, seeing an unfamiliar ceiling above my ahead. The memories of the past two days flooded in and I groaned.

I resisted the urge to sink further into the bed, and stood up. I took a shower and got dressed before sneaking out of my room.

I glanced at my wrist and saw that it was 4: 27 in the morning. I skipped dinner yesterday, but Alfred told me breakfast would be at 7: 45, so I everyone should be asleep still.

I tried to find my way to the kitchen and easily found my way there through the maze. I had a tour yesterday and my memory is photographic, so...

I walked inside and found a humongous pantry. It's so huge. I could live in here. Oh my gosh, this is insane.

Why do three people need this entire freaking manor!? This entire pantry!? What do they do when everything expires!?

While I was gaping at the sheer size of the pantry, I didn't notice the shadow that appeared next to me, but as soon as I did, I turned around and as didn't even get a good look at the person, before my fist was flying towards them.

I felt my hand get caught and they flipped me over their shoulder. The man was dressed in a black shirt and dark blue jeans. There was a black mask over his face.

I rolled over and scrambled to my feet.

"Don't scream. Hold on, I can expl-" The man ducked as I grabbed a knife out of the container of the counter and threw it at his head.

"Don't do that, I-"

I grabbed a pan and charged him. He easily ducked my attacks. So he was a trained robber. Or was he here to kill me?

I swung the pan at his shoulder and it slammed into to wall, creating a large dent and clang. The man grabbed it and ripped it out of my hands.

The force made me stumble forward and he grabbed my wrists and put them behind my back. I tried to kick and headbutt him, but he seemed always out of reach.

I felt him shift and hold my wrists with one hand and take his mask off with the other.

I considered screaming for help, but I knew the noise wouldn't reach anyone in their rooms upstairs.

"Look, I'm a family friend, the mask was only there in case they caught me sneaking in. It's actually a really complicated story, but I'm allowed to be here. You don't need to-"

"Jason? What are you doing?" Another unfamiliar voice asked.

I looked at the doorway and saw a man with a blue shirt and acrobat pants. He had a grin on his face and his hands on his hips.

"It's her fault!" 'Jason' claimed.

"Let her go!" The man ordered.

Jason let go of me and I immediately turned around and punched him in the nose. I winced at the cracking noise and the small pain in my knuckles, but I didn't let it stop me from immediately turning and running out of the other exit from the kitchen.

"Ha! You got punched!" The other man laughed at Jason.

"She broke my no...!" I couldn't hear them anymore because I was already half way up the stairs.

I was hoping to reach Alfred, because he used to be in the secret service with my dad. Unfortunately, before I could do that, I turned a corner and ran into someone.
