Damian's POV
The Tower was quiet.
Too quiet.
I stared at the kitchen from position on the couch, wishing that Manette was in there working on her computer or doing the dishes.
But Deathstroke had her.
His warehouse was empty, rigged to blow the moment we charged in. Raven saved us.
In a small way, I wish she hadn't.
Manette had come to rescue me and I had failed to do the same for her. I should have told her to run and get the others the moment she walked through that door.
I should have told her to run when I was fighting Deathstroke. I should have known Tara was working with him and never gotten caught in the first place.
But most of all, I should have known my mother was going to kill Manette's parents and saved them.
It was all my fault. Everything.
Raven walked in, spotting me and sitting down on the other side of the couch, blocking my view of the kitchen.
"We'll get her back, Damian." Raven assured me.
"How? It's Deathstroke. He's not a fool, he'll-"
"You've beat him before. Alone. Together, we will stop him. I promise." She promised.
"Your promises are empty. Words without effect." I told her bitterly.
Raven glared, "Manette doesn't need you sulking right now. Go help Dick in the surveillance room."
I scowled before standing up and walking away.
She was right though. Here I was, making mistakes again and Manette was suffering for it.
He could be doing anything to her. Deathstroke hated me and what I rightfully took from him. In my mother's plans, she was supposed to be making a new heir.
Someone else to take what he had wanted.
She could already be dead for all we know.
I opened the doors and Dick looked over, sending me a worried glance before turning back to the computer screen.
"I'm glad you're here. Come help me." He said.
"What are we doing?" I asked, looking at the code on the screen.
"Looking. Searching. Everything we've found on Brother Blood so far is being sifted through either manually or electronically. Manually is always better." He explained.
"I know that Grayson. What exactly are you hoping to find?" I asked, beginning to type on the other computer.
"I don't know."
It was better than nothing.

Cori, Garfield, Raven, and Jaime had all left the Tower.
Cori was unpacking her and Grayson's house. Garfield was doing some podcast thing. Jaime was taking Raven to his soup place for homeless people.
Grayson and I had still found nothing in the three hours that we had been searching the Hive database.
At some point, I had been impressed by Brother Blood. But now I just wanted to bash all of their heads in for being involved with Slade.
Slade would pay.
Suddenly the computer screens all turned black.
