"Cool!" Fred said excitingly as he led me towards the table which I was met with all sorts of bottles filled with toxins.
I'd never drunk before and had never planned to until then. I just didn't want to let Fred down and perhaps I was curious to try.
"Take your pick," Fred giggled.
It was obvious he had already had a few.
I extended my shaky hand and reached out for a green bottle which I would soon regret.
After a few minutes, the effects finally kicked in. This one was strong, a little too strong for me.
Somehow, I managed to waddle all the way to where Cedric and Cho were having a flirty conversation (it seemed) and interrupt it.
"Oh my god, Cedric!" I bubbled.
"Oh hey Y/N," he replied.
Cho shot me a mean look,
"Can we help you?""Actually yes, he can." I started "Ohh Cedric, you're just soo kind and thoughtful~"
Cedric smiled "Thanks Y/N if you don't mind me ask-"
"Shh, shush pretty boy I'm speaking," I cut him off, "I'm just so curious and I'd love for you to teach me some trick-"
I didn't even manage to finish my sentence since I fainted and blacked out.
The next thing I knew, the morning sun hit my face waking me up only for me to realize I was in a random stranger's bed.
"What the hell?" I muttered whilst holding my head.
Another reason why I had never planned to drink was because of hangovers, and here I was suffering from a horrendous one.
"You're up," a voice stated from beside me.
"Cedric?" I asked.
"The one and only," he exclaimed.
I sat upright in what seemed to be his bed and felt a sudden rush of embarrassment as my cheeks flushed.
"Uhh shit." I moaned.
Cedric sat up as well "What's wrong?"
"I made a fool of myself, wait did we?"
"No, we didn't, I thought I should bring you to my house since nobody was sober enough to take you anywhere."
I awkwardly replied "Thanks," before looking elsewhere.
"Still want me to show you some tricks of mine?" He asked.
I then remembered the advances I had made towards him in front of everyone! Then and there, I wanted to sink into the floor and never come out.
"No, no that's alright," I stuttered.
"I insist," Cedric joyfully said whilst rushing downstairs.
I worried about what he would do, so I got up as well and followed him. His kitchen was humble but homely and nice with just enough space for a family to live. Cedric was behind the counter pouring a liquid into a cup.
"Here we are, that'll do the trick," he smiled.
Confused, I just stared back at him. "This is the so-called "tricks"?" I asked.
Cedric laughed. "It's for that hangover silly."
Not only did I feel embarrassed but pretty stupid as well. I took the drink and chugged it down my throat.
"I was really expecting you to do some, you know magic," I joked.
He laughed again, "Oh no home remedies are my specialty, l avoid using magic when there is no need."
"Oh ok."
Everything fell silent. It was as if there was something unspoken between us, tension which was slowly building up.
" I would really love to stay, but I have to meet my father at a quidditch match. You can come along if you'd like," Cedric stated.
"That would be nice," I replied.
