Students ran towards the grand hall to await the announcement of who had qualified for the Tournament. To my surprise, one of the judges, Barry Crouch which I had been longing to talk to, had called off sick.

How convenient.

The suspense of the names being called out was devouring me from the inside, but I kept my patience under control. Dumbledore stepped up towards the podium and got ready to read the champions.

"Cedric Diggory," He starts, many claps spread out amongst the crowd "Fleur Delacour," once again people clap, "Viktor Krum," and again claps can be heard.

Until Dumbledore pauses, he carefully reads out the final name "H-Harry Potter."

Gasps spread out amongst people and students like teachers, begin to chatter.

"That's impossible," I hear what sounds like Hermione say "Dumbledore cast a spell on the Goblet meaning nobody underage could enter."

As I looked around in shock I noticed that one Professor Moody, looking weird as usual. Perhaps it was his normal face, but it was just too peculiar to push aside. Maybe he had something to do with this.

After that, everyone was dismissed except the champions. I grabbed Neville and pinned him against a wall around the corner.

"Don't kiss me!" He squealed, "I haven't brushed my teeth!"

I let go of him "Don't be silly, I'm not going to kiss you."

"Oh, then what are we doing?" He asked.

"It's that Professor, he looks awfully suspicious don't you think?" Neville just shrugged off my inquiries and told me I was being "over paranoid." I believed him since he was known for being anxious almost all the time.

I wish I hadn't.

After that, I decided to have a seat in the Ravenclaw common room and read a book whilst eavesdropping on a conversation nearby.

"Oh my god," one girl said, "I heard there is going to be a ball!"

"Really?" a second asked.

Another added, "I hope that Viktor dude takes me, he's so fit and manly!"

Cho scoffed, "Oh please, Cedric is the fittest."

"But doesn't Harry have his sights on you?"
girl one asked.

"Yeah..he's alright I guess," all the girls giggled and went their separate ways.

I couldn't stand how those girls made Harry out to be, he really deserved better.
