Rays pov

We all ate dinner and were watching all the performers on the new TV Liam and mom got. I was honestly having a good time until Liam spoke up.

"So kid what have you been doing since you left"?

"Um I've just been hanging out at my frinds house. Not much has really happened". Liam glared at me and I could tell mom got a bit nervous. "You know kid I can tell when someone's lying and you have the look of a liar".

I glared back at him and mom tried to say something but it just fell def to are ears. "All I asked was what you were up to why would you need to lie". "Because you don't need to know what me and my boyfriend are doing".

"Did you say...boyfriend "?

Crap.

I knew Liam was homophobic but I got so upset the words just feel out of my mouth.

"Why did you say boyfriend don't tell me your actually dating someone. Why would anyone want to date you. Not to mention a boy and a boy can't fall in love. Thats disgusting ".

"Liam please don't sa-". "Well you can't control everything now can you". I cut my mom off. I'm starting to regret agreeing to come in the first place.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME YOU BRAT". "YOU HEARD WHAT I SAID OLD MAN OR DO YOU NEED TO GET YOUR HEARING AIDS CHEACKED".

mom was still trying to stop us but we kept yelling.

"YOU SPOILD BRAT IF IT WASNT FOR YOU LIFE WOULD BE FUCKING GREAT WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE ALIVE". "IM ALIVE BECAUSE OF MY MOM YOU HERE ME MY MOM BUT SHE CHOSE YOU OVER ME. DO YOU RELIZE. SHE CHOSE A FUCKING MONSTER OVER HER OWN SON. IF ANYONE HERE IS A SPOILD BRAT ITS YOU".

"GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE YOU FREAK". "I WAS ALREDY LEAVING ".

I didn't even say I by I just grabbed my phone and left slamming the door shut. I heard Liam yell something inside but I ignored it and continued walking. I heard the door open and close and footsteps running toward me. I glanced and saw my mom running to me but I just continued walking.

"RAY PLEASE WAIT".

"What do you want". I said not even stopping. "Why don't you go back to liam"? "I'm trying to break up with him".

When mom said that I was shocked. I stopped walking but I didn't turn around to face her. "What are you talking about"?

"I've gotten a job and found a small apartment building but I can't afford it yet but after a few weeks I should have enough. When I but it I will move out and break up with him. I will give you an option to move back in with me but if you choose not to it is alright the apartment is only meant for one person".

After mom explained i finally turned to look at her. Her face was covered in tears and her hair was messy.

"Were you really"? Mom nodded tears still falling. "I can't stand it. I can't stand my baby getting hurt. I love you ray and if that means I can't be with Liam then so be it".

I walked up to her and hugged her. "I love you to mom. I'm sorry". Mom shook her head and hugged me back.

I got back to normans house around 10:30. Olivia saw me and smiled but it turned into a frown. "Ray what are you doing back here I thought you were ganna stay the. Night at your moms place"? I shook my head. "Liam kicked me out but its ok. Woulx it be OK if I stayed"? Olivia nodded and brought me into the living room were Peter and Norman were. "Of course you can stay. You are always welcome here".

Once Norman saw me he got up and hugged me quickly. "Ray what are you doing here? Are you ok? Did Liam do anything? Did he hurt you"?

Olivia giggled and I hugged Norman back. "No im fine he didn't touch me but once he found out I was dating a boy he kicked me out". Norman hugged me tighter and Olivia sat down next to Peter.

"I hope Isabella breaks up with that jerk soon he dosnt deserve either of you" Olivia said crossing her arms over her chest. "Mom is planing on breaking up with him once she finds a new place to live".

Olivia smiled and nodded at that. Norman took ahold of my hand and brought me to the couch he was sitting on. We both sat down but Norman grabbed my waist and pulled me onto his lap. I tried to get off because Olivia and Peter were right there but Norman didn't seem to care.

Around 11 we went to the town festival. Norman and I were walking around looking at all the booths. We didn't see anyone we knew but that was ok. I saw a plush of one of my favorite anime characters as a prize for one of the games so when Norman saw I was looking at it he brought us over. He tried about 5 times to win but he never did so I took over and got the plush for myself.

"Aw I'm sorry I really wanted to get it for you but I suck at those kinds of games". Norman said as we walked away me holding my new plush. "Its ok you didn't have to try so many times though".

We oth laugh and continue walking hand in hand.

We found a good spot to watch the fireworks so we sat down and waited for the countdown.

"HAPPY NEW YEARS".

Norman grabbed my face quickly and kissed me. "Happy new years Ray " Norman whispers to me and my face was bright red.

When we got home we all wished each other goodnight and went to are rooms. Well I went to normans room but we practically share the room so it counts.

I was sitting on the bed cuddling with my new plush as Norman was grabbing some clothes for us to wear to sleep. "Hey Ray what exactly did Liam say to you when you said you were dating a guy"?

I sighed and remembered are fight. "He told me why would anyone date you especially a guy. Then he said boys can't live boys and that it was disgusting . Then he also told me that I shouldn't be alive and if I wasn't then life would be great". I was crying a little and my voice cracked.

"Aw baby don't listen to what he says" Norman said climbing into be and hugging me. "Hes just a good for nothing jerk who dosnt know how to treat people".

I held onto Norman and cried and he patted my back. "For the record I think you are a great person and I'm happy your alive". I snuggled into Norman and started to drift off to sleep.

"Thank you norman. I love you".

"I love you to ray".

Normans pov

Ray fell asleep in my arms and I smiled. I wondered before what will I do now that I've actually got Ray. I was scared I'd lose feelings like I did with so many others but now I know my next goal.

"I promise ray" I whispered to him. "I'll never let anyone hurt you again ".
