Chapter 17:The girl named Aoi

Kaori texted me that she'll come to our house because she wanted to tell me something even though she said that she didn't feel like I should know about it.

I went down at the ground floor to wait for her leaving my brother at the Penthouse it's rare for Kaori to be the one wanting to come at here so I wander what she wanna tell me.

I saw her enter the building entrance and when she got closer I noticed something different on her,Uhm how do I say this.....Her face is really lively and bright unlike her usual intimidating,angry or irritated face it's really lively.

"You're face is really lively" I said pointing out what i've notice she looked at me "I am?" Oh,even her voice is lively she seemed to be happy today huh? I wonder what happened.

We entered the elevator and I Pressed our floor number and scanned my card "Did something happened?" I asked again but she looked at me with a light smile and shook her head "I'll tell you later"

I'm surprised that those words would actually escape her mouth like that she rarely act secretive I smiled and hugged her from the back "Hmm I wonder what it could be" but as usual she pushed me away and gave me a glare she doesn't want to get hugged out of nowhere it makes her uncomfortable even now it's been almost a year since we got into a relationship.

The elevator arrived at our floor so we exited it and went to our house I opened it and let her in first the first thing we saw was my brother laying on the sofa while eating snacks.

"What happened to your braid?" Kaori asked him noticing that his hair that usually was braided is gone "Yo Kaori-chan nothing much I just finished showering why? Missed my usual look?" my brother said but Kaori just rolled her eyes and sat down at the stool bar and put her back pack down I went across her.

"So what did you wanna talk about?" I asked again but she just stood up and went to the fridge "I told you i'll tell you later let's eat first I'm starving" She said then took out a chicken thighs.

"I want teriyaki,you?" She asked while taking out the rest of ingredients needed.

"Anything you cook is fine" I said and tried to hugged her again but she immediately dodged I just let out a soft chuckle because she didn't glare at me and just went back to cooking.

"Oi what are you guys flirting there for?" My brother suddenly appeared beside us and looked at the ingredients at the kitchen counter.

"Oh!Kaori's cooking lunch?Nice!Whatcha gonna do?" He asked while leaning at Kaori but she immediately pushed his face away from her "Chicken Teriyaki,Don't get too close to me i'll kill you" She said in a annoyed tone but my brother just continued to tease her she snapped and attempted to punch him but Immediately catches her fist.

"Now,Now let's not make the ingredients wait dear" I said while pulling her away from my brother,Jeez these guys are like cats and dogs they'll always fight whenever they see each other though it's kinda always my brother's fault to annoy her.

She calmed down while preparing the ingredients for the food I went beside her to help her out but she said that she'll do it her self since it's easy to make so I sat across the kitchen counter at the stool bar watching cook.

After she was done cooking my brother went beside me at kitchen counter and ate with us.

"Hmmm your food taste really good as usual Kaori" She complemented on her food she didn't answer and just began eating too.

We ate quietly for a moment until I remembered that Kaori was gonna tell me something.

"Kaori,What was the thing you wanna tell me" She turned up to me and gave me an 'Ohhh' expression.
