I used to think I would meet somebody there

dream used to spend the day at the park near his house, reading. he always had that dream that he'll meet a cute guy here, and it'll be love at first sight. he was a hopeless romantic like that.

Teal was the color of your shirt
When you were sixteen at the yogurt shop
You used to work at to make a little money

george worked at a yogurt shop. his family wasn't rich, so he would work overtime just to earn money for himself. he always wore a blue shirt with a tan cargo pants. he dreamed of meeting a person here, giving them their change while falling in love with the color of their eyes

Time, curious time

they never knew how the story of them would go. they didn't notice all the clues. they didn't notice each time they passed by each other, each one engrossed on their phone.

three years after their meeting, they went to subway before their picnic at the lakes. the waitress noticed the boyfriends, but flirted with dream anyway.

"you're just so cute, you would be successful as a singer."

george paid for the sandwich, grabbed dream's hand, and spoke to the girl. "i know, he's cute right? he's also dating me. goodbye."

he proposed to the short boy at the park near his house. gold leaves decorated the ground as dream stood on one knee holding a ring. george cried as he nodded and accepted the ring.

the long, depressing time of being single or heartbroken was worth the happiness the two boys felt.

the sky was gorgeous at their wedding. it went from beautiful baby blue like george's shirt he used to wear to the purple, pink sunset like the books dream loved to read.
