It was a little after 10:30 when I slowly opened my eyes, I felt mildly groggy from the late night and alcohol but other than that I was surprised at how good I actually did feel. For a split second everything felt normal, then memories of last night circled in my mind and a huge smile spread itself across my face! I covered my face with my hands and squealed, kicking my legs up and down on the bed like an excited teenager!

I looked over at Jess, she hadn't moved since I got into bed last night "you're gonna pay for last night" I said to myself, looking at her and sitting up, sliding to the edge of my bed. I got up and made my way to the bathroom.

After using the loo, I checked myself in the mirror and washed my face and brushed my teeth and headed back into the room, picking up my phone....

Suddenly in panic mode, I looked at the time, it was 10:42. I jumped up, pulling on some socks and tracksuit bottoms and ran out of the room towards the lift. I pressed the button jigging on my toes waiting for it to arrive, finally it arrived, I climbed in, grabbed my phone and tried to call Jack, no bloody signal in here, which meant my text wouldn't go through either! I watched impatiently as the numbers went down , 5,4,3,2,1, AT LAST! The doors slid open to reception, there were a few people milling about but no sign of Jack, my heart sank, I ran to the hotel entrance and saw the coach still there, the doors just closing "no no no" I said to myself, hurriedly unlocking my phone and finding Jacks number to call him. The coach engine started up as I pressed call on my phone, it didn't even ring my end before I heard Jack answer "where are you?" he said excitedly "I'm standing in the hotel reception doorway" I said "WAIT" I heard him shout to someone in the background, within a few seconds the engine of the coach stopped and the doors were opening. I saw a familiar figure hurriedly making their way down the coach, Jack jumped out of the door and jogged over to me grabbing my face and kissing me deeply on the lips, he hugged me tightly then pulled away to look at me "I thought I was going to miss you this morning" he said, he looked sad, I felt terrible "I'm so sorry, I should have set my alarm on my phone, I am SO sorry" I said leaning in and kissing him again "It's ok, you made it and that's all that matters. I can't stay long, we've got to get back to St Georges Park, it's gonna be a good few hours on the coach" he added "I know, I totally understand, when will I see you again?" I asked, feeling sad that we weren't going to be able to spend the day together "Sunday of course" he said, smiling! I'd honestly totally forgotten he'd invited me to the final on Sunday "I've told Greg to be in touch with you about plans for the game" he said "I hope that's ok?". "yes of course it is, Sunday can't come soon enough" I said to him looking down, feeling desperately sad. He lifted my chin "don't be sad" he said "I will call you every night after training I promise, then we have the whole summer to get to know each other properly" he smiled brightly, I felt so excited about this summer I couldn't help but fling my arms around his neck and push my body against his, not wanting to let go "Jack" someone called "we gotta go...." we both looked at the coach and saw the driver standing on the steps tapping his watch, it was at this point we also noticed his England team mates all staring at us out the windows of the coach, being lads, making silly kissing gestures at us and laughing, we both burst out laughing "I've really gotta go baby" he said and kissed me again, walking away and slowly letting go of my hand, I waited at the front of the hotel and watched him get on the coach, he turned to me and blew me a kiss, I'd honestly never felt so happy. As he walked up the coach I could see all his team mates patting him on the back and mocking him, I smiled to myself as I saw him sit down at the back by the window and look out at me, the biggest, happiest smile on his face. The engine rumbled to life and the coach slowly started to pull away, I could feel tears welling up in my eyes, I was glad that Jack wouldn't be able to see them from the coach. I waited until the coach had left my view before I headed back to the lift to go up to my room to get ready to leave. Suddenly I didn't want to be here, in this hotel, it made me feel sad, I just wanted to get out of here and go home.
