Friday and Saturday seemed to drag by. Friday I was back in the office working and on Saturday morning I decided to go shopping and also get my hair done, just to kill time. I pondered the idea of buying some new sexy lingerie, but was I being too presumptuous about what might happen tomorrow night? I know I wanted to, but did Jack? How slow does he want to take this? Will he be in the mood after playing 90 minutes of football? I decided I would rather be prepared than not, if nothing happened between us tomorrow night then he would never know about it would he!
I grabbed a sandwich, crisps and drink from a local deli and seeing as it was a nice day I decided to head to Parkers Piece to eat it and read my book in the sun. I'd not heard from Jack today, other than his usual "good morning gorgeous" text, but that wasn't unusual, as he was usually focused on training all day.
I ate my sandwich and read a few Chapters of my book. After a while my eyes began to tire so I decided to take a look at some of the news sites and Instagram to see what was going on, as I'd not been on them since Thursday for fear of what I might read about myself.
After scrolling though some articles I came across one of a picture of Parkers Piece with the headline "Jack Grealish's new lady out and about on her own in Cambridge". I squinted closely at the picture and could see myself sitting right where I am now reading my book. I felt sick! Someone was here and they were taking photo's of me.
I quickly packed my things up into my bag and hurriedly started to make my way home, I got my phone out and messaged Jack to call me as soon as he got my message, I was properly freaked out and just wanted to be in the safety of my flat.
I arrived home and began pacing my living room floor, waiting for Jack to call. Hours passed and I had heard nothing from him, I was now in tears and worrying at every noise I heard outside on the street.
Eventually at around 8:30pm, hours after I'd messaged Jack, he finally called me..
"Baby, is everything ok?" he asked sounding concerned "I'm so sorry I'm only just calling you, my phone has been in my room all day as we've been training and doing press all day"
I burst into tears "People have been taking pictures of me while I was out today, that is bad enough, but just knowing people are out there watching me, knowing who I am is scaring the shit out of me, I terrified of every single noise" I cried into my phone.
"oh god, I am so sorry this is happening babygirl, please try not to get upset. Are you at home?" he asked.
"yes" I replied through my tears.
"right, pack a bag for 2 nights, I'm going to call Greg and get him to sort out the hotel for tonight then I'm on my way to get you and take you there myself" he said, taking complete control of the situation.
"But you can't, you've got the game tomorrow" I interjected
"We are leaving here first thing and heading to Wembley anyway, what difference does it make if I come down tonight instead?" he said "the gaffer will understand, especially seeing as your safety is at risk" he added quickly.
My heart started to slow down now that I knew Jack was coming to my rescue.
"how long do you think it will take you to get here?" I asked him, hoping desperately that it wouldn't be too long.
"I reckon I will be with you in about 2 and a half hours all being well, I'm gonna call Greg now to sort the hotel and get the car to me and I'll get my bag packed while I'm waiting and text you when I'm leaving" he said, sounding in a hurry, we should be at the hotel before midnight he said.
"ok babe, thank you, you really don't know how much this means to me" I said, the relief in my voice clear for him to hear.
"You being safe is my priority tonight" he said "I'm gonna go now" he added, "the sooner I call Greg the sooner I can be with you".
