I stood there in complete and utter bliss as Jack headed to the kitchen to get the champagne out of the fridge. Jess and Ben both gave me a hug and congratulated me following Jack to the kitchen to help him with the Champagne. I sat down on the bed, not really knowing what to do with myself and then I heard Jack talking on the phone.

"Hi mum..... yeah I'm amazing, we're having the best holiday.....yeah I'm looking forward to seeing you too when I get home.... yes you will definitely get to meet her as soon as we are home I promise, and also I have some news......no it's not about the move to City.... no, no, mum stop, let me speak.... you're gonna be a grandma...."

There was silence from Jack, I just knew his mum wasn't gonna be as thrilled as we were about this considering Jack and I had only been together a short time, I was desperate for his family to like me, but I could also see things from their point of view, we'd only been together a few weeks, they didn't know me at all, for all they knew I could just be another one of those girls who was after their son for his money and fame, I knew I'd have to prove myself to them, but I was prepared for that.

"Yes I know it's really soon, but we are both really happy about this..... when you know you know...... once you meet her I know you're gonna fall in love with her like I have.... yes we are back on Thursday..... ok we'll come for dinner Friday and you can meet her.... yes 7pm sounds great..... ok I'll speak to you soon.... yes I'll tell her.... bye mum, I love you"

I heard Jack walking into the bedroom

"Babygirl, you coming to celebrate?" he said as he poked his head around the bedroom door.

"yeah, course" I said, getting up off the bed and grabbing a tissue to wipe my eyes with which were still wet from my happy tears.

"You ok baby"? he asked, his finger under my chin tilting my head up to look in my eyes.

"yeah, I guess, just feeling a bit overwhelmed that's all" I answered him "And I heard you talking to your mum on the phone, and now I'm worrying about what your family are gonna think of me. I don't want them thinking I'm trying to trap you or that I'm only with you for your money or fame" I added, feeling tears start to well up in my eyes.

Jack gently circled his arms around me and pulled me in for a hug

"They are gonna love you as much as I love you, I promise you" he said, as he tucked my hair behind my ear "We are going to my mums for dinner Friday night so you will get to meet everyone then. She was only concerned because we have only been together a short time, but it's nothing we haven't already thought ourselves is it?! We know we're gonna get that for a while, but just because things are still new with us, it doesn't mean it's not right or not forever, we've just started on our journey sooner than other people that's all" he smiled at me.

How did he always know the right things to say to make me feel better? I looked up at him, still not believing my luck that I'd met him and he felt this way about me. How did I get so lucky? I hugged him back and nestled my head on his shoulder as he rubbed my back.

"You best get used to doing that" I muttered into his shoulder "I think there's gonna be a lot of that over the next 9 months"

He laughed "You bet babygirl! Now lets get this party started" he said as he pulled me out of the bedroom and into the living area.

"I've WhatsApped everyone to come over" said Ben "I mean, it's not like they didn't already know about this is it?" he said defensively

He had a point. There was no keeping this to ourselves since Jack's revelation at dinner last week, and to be honest, neither of us wanted to. We wanted to shout it from the roof tops.
