"I knew you got hurt because of me. But I don't think it's right either to bring you to a hospital. My mother was a doctor, so I learned how to give first aid,"

The latter uttered, hand working on treating the wounds on Katsuki's chest and torso. Katsuki still looked pale and tired. Truth be told, seeing him this way made Shoto's heart ached. A familiar feeling...was it because he was Katsuki's past lover reincarnation? He wasn't focused on that too much. No matter what the reason was, it still couldn't change the fact Katsuki saved his life.

The two were at Katsuki's place. The modern designed home where Shoto broke in during their first met. Falling with knowing someone will catch you vs the opposite really was a different experience.

"Open your mouth,"

Katsuki who had stifled his pained groans from the treatment, looking at Shoto with oddness. "If it's medicine then I won't have that shit,"

The latter snorted before pushing the said thing into Katsuki's mouth. Katsuki growled and expected the bitter, unpleasant taste of a medicine pill but it wasn't. It was sweetness instead that flooded his tastebud.

"When I was young...my mother used to give me peppermint candy. Since it resembled me," Shoto touched his own head slightly, which made Katsuki snorted and proceeded his doing on Katsuki's wounds. "Every time I went to see the doctor. After that, I wasn't scared of going to hospitals anymore. The memories remained to remind me of the sweet taste of peppermint candy,"  he hummed and Katsuki stared, rolling the candy in his mouth and chewed.

"You're letting me to eat you?" Katsuki snickered.

Shoto blinked. "It just looked like me. You said you don't eat liver,"

Katsuki sighed. He's still the same oblivious moron he fell in love with. "Keep talking about yourself, dumbass,"

Shoto seemed to be in thought for a moment while reaching for a clean wet cloth, now gently cleaning the wounds. "When I was nine, I got admitted to a pediatric mental hospital. After my family died and my sister disappeared, I told the cops the culprit wasn't human,"

Katsuki nodded with a hum and closed his eyes.

"I want to get discharge, but my doctor wouldn't let me," Shoto mumbled.

"I wouldn't have let you out either," the ash-blond huffed.

"So I kept my eyes on. Later on, I saw him stealing some propofol," Shoto pointed out.

"Then? The fuck did you do?"

"I made a deal with him. 'Do you want me to shout and call someone or will you let me out', I said,"

Katsuki responded with a simper.

"I can't forget the day I got out and went home in my father's friend's car. I finally came home in three months. But I didn't like being all alone without my parents, so I sat in front of the house. And the two fireflies I saw, felt as if they were my parents," Shoto muttered some more, tiny smile sketched on his lips.

The latter sat on the bed, reaching the bandage from one hand to another in order to wrap them around Katsuki's abdomen. The fox simply closed his eyes while forehead rested on Shoto's shoulder while so. This closeness, this warmth, and this scent. Were everything he missed the most. And after 600 years of waiting.

He finally reunited with his beloved.

A hand brushed against Katsuki's own and that made the ash-blond stirred from his sleep. Eyes gazing down on the latter who was asleep while sitting next to his bed, bi-colored hair in a low ponytail (long-haired Shoto because why not.), bangs covering both his eyes and the scar. Katsuki's hand slowly lingered on the strands of locks, pushing them aside to reveal Shoto's as well bi-colored eyelashes and brows.
