Sage POV
A week later ...

The entire week I've been thinking about that kiss. It felt like we reconnected because of it.
"Mommy someone is outside!" MJ said pointing at the door as he sat at the table drawing.
I furrowed my eyebrows and looked out the window. Why is Mekai here?
I cracked the door open.
"Wassup Sage." He smiled showing me a bouquet of flowers.
"Mommy who is-" MJ started coming behind me. My eyes popped out of my head and he stood there looking at Mekai.

"Leave." I mouthed looking between them.
"I'm scared." He whined hugging me tightly.
"Mi amor I-"
"Why is daddy standing there?" He whispered looking up at me.
"Ima come back later-" Mekai started to walk away but I stopped him.
"Let's go sit down. MJ go get your siblings from upstairs." I said and he ran upstairs.
"Hurry and sit down." I said opening the door all the way. He walked in and sat there bouncing his leg. I sat next to him and all the kids came downstairs.

"Mama who is that?" Miracle asked walking up to him.
"Who's child is this?" He whispered in my ear. I stiffened up realizing he never knew Miracle existed.
"Miracle.. this is daddy. Can you say hi daddy?" I said to her and Mekais eyes got wide.
"Hi daddy!" She smiled waving at him.
"I thought you said I didn't have a daddy?" Saint tilted his head.
"I told you daddy was in heaven.. but um.. daddy isn't. He's on earth with us." I explained sitting him in my lap.

"Where was daddy then?" Serene chimed in.
"He had to go to work baby." I lied rubbing her forehead.
"I missed you." MJ pouted before hugging Mekai and crying hard.
"You should take him outside while I try and explain to them." I whispered to him and he nodded, picking MJ up and walked outside.

Mekai POV

"Daddy why did you leave me?" He cried into my shoulder and a few tears fell down my face.
"I'm sorry lil man. I'm so sorry." I sniffed rubbing his back and wiping my own face.
"I missed you." He said sitting up and rubbing his eyes.
"I missed you too. I love you Mekai." I sighed kissing his forehead and taking in his features. He looked just like me now.
"I love you too daddy." He said grabbing my entire face and kissing my cheek.

"Let's just talk, me and you." I said sitting on the hood of my car.
"What kinda sports do you play at school?" I asked looking over at him.
"Umm, football and basketball." He nodded.
"You just like me." I chuckled.
"How many girlfriends you got?"
"2." He smiled and I gave him a dap.
"I like you." I laughed. This lil boy is something else.

"Are you and mommy ever gonna get married?" He asked swinging his legs.
"Not yet, but we gonna be soon." I winked.
"I think it's gonna rain." He said looking around at the dark storm clouds. I picked him up and we went back inside. I didn't wanna put him down.
"Daddy!" Saint, Serene and Miracle squealed hugging my legs.
"Wassup gummy!" I smiled kissing his cheek.
"Ooh who am I?" Serene asked.
"You my lil girl." I smiled and kissed her as well.

"What am I?" Miracle asked looking up at me. I paused for a minute and it was silent.
"You're a miracle." I smiled and kissed all over her face. I couldn't believe I had another daughter. Shit was crazy.
"You guys should go make some drawings for daddy like you make me." Sage smiled and they all went upstairs.
"So about Miracle.. is she-"
"She's yours Mekai. I found out I was pregnant a month after you quote on quote died and I was 2 months then. She's your daughter." She explained and I nodded.

"I'm sorry." I sighed running my hand over my face.
"For what?" She asked looking up at me.
"I was being selfish and missed everything. The twins first birthday, they first steps.. I ain't even know I had another daughter. She don't even know me. I'm just-" I shrugged and shook my head.
"Mekai it's okay.. I forgive you for all of that. I been thinking and I understand why you did what you did. I'd much rather have to deal with you popping back up then you dying for real. I'm just glad I have you back." She said before getting on her tippy toes and kissing my cheek.

"And you're lucky I take pictures of everything." She smiled pulling me to the couch and going on her phone. I smiled watching all the videos & looking at the pictures of the kids taking they first steps, pictures of Miracle when she was first born and anything between.
"She looked just like you went she was a newborn." She laughed showing me a picture of Miracle mugging the camera.
"My mini me." I chuckled.

Sage POV
That night...

Me and Mekai laid up in the bed as his head laid between my legs and I retwisted his locs.
"So what do you wanna do with your life after this?" I asked applying the dread wax and twisting it.
"I wanna start my own business. Doing what? No idea." He shrugged.
"You'll figure it out bubba." I said twisting up another one.
"Who'll figure it out?" He asked turning around and looking at me.
"Bubba." I smiled. He smiled and did a little dance before sitting back still.

"You're so stupid." I giggled tying up the hair I've already done.
"I been meaning to ask if you had another nigga or something.." He trailed pulling my foot on his lap and rubbing it.
"No, I haven't even talked to anyone else." I shrugged.
"Oh." He nodded.
"Have you?" I asked putting some wax on my finger.
"Not really dating anyone.. but I got a female friend named Alexis." He said and I nodded feeling jealous. For no reason.
"Can I meet her?" I asked focused on his hair.

"If you want, she lives in Compton." He shrugged.
"I'm gonna assume you've had sex since then." I laughed and grabbed a section of his hair.
"And why you assume that?" He chuckled.
"Cause you're a guy." I shrugged.
"I haven't. Maybe I would think about you and get hard but nah. I haven't even jerked off." He shrugged rubbing my other foot.
"So you've really been loyal to me for 3 years?" I asked kinda in disbelief.
"Yup." He grabbed my hand and kissed it.
"Thank you." I smiled.
