Sage POV
Next day

I woke up and looked around with a pounding headache. My stomach was hurting too. I realized I was in a hospital room and I sat up, but it hurt to move.
"My sissy is up!" I heard Sachi squeal and jump on the bed with me.
"Hey baby.." I mumbled, very confused.
"How you feel baby?" My mom asked, rushing over to me and rubbing my arm.
"I'm sore but I guess so," I shrugged.
"What happened? Why am I here?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Well-"
Everyone turned around when Mekai walked in, and 2 nurses pushed in 2 incubators. My heart stopped and I looked down at my stomach seeing it was smaller than before.
"Why y'all ain't call me? When she woke up?" He asked, sitting down with them in front of him.
"What-are they- explain this shit." I stuttered as he sighed.
"You um.. went into labor after he beat you. They had to do a c-section and we have to stay another week." Mekai explained and I just stared at him.

"L-let me see them." I said quietly and he walked over to me, and pushed them to me.
"Say hi girls." My mom said, fixing one of their hats.
"Girls? They're both girls?" I slightly smiled, and rubbed the backs of their hands as they looked at me with huge eyes.
"Yeah, nobody filled out the birth certificate cause we wanted you to make the decisions." Mekai said and I nodded.
"How long have they been here?" I asked.
"Almost 4 hours, but you've been sleep for about 6." My mom said, now holding Sachi.

"Hi babies.." I whispered softly.
"You girls are so pretty." I smiled and felt tears forming in my eyes.
"And look at all this hair, oh my goodness. You must've got that from daddy." I giggled and realized me and Mekai were the only ones in the room.
"I love you both so much.. and I'm sorry you h-had to come into the world like this." I sniffed as Mekai wiped my face.
"It's not your fault Sage, quit crying." He sighed rubbing my forehead.
"I know but, I should've protected them." I shook my head.

"Sage I handled his ass. It is not your fault for what he decided to do to you. You can't control him or his actions but all you can do it's grow from this. You're okay, our daughters are okay and everyone else is okay. He knew exactly what he was doing when he did it and he a sick ass nigga for that. He gon get everything he deserves. But you and our family? We good. We got 2 new editions and 4 others who more excited than you could imagine to be big siblings.
I need you to stop blaming yourself for things you can't control." He said before pecking my cheek. I smiled and grabbed his face, kissing his lips.

"Thanks Mekai." I sighed, laying my head on his shoulder.
"Do you have name ideas?" He asked, touching one of the girls hands.
"Mya and.." I trailed off.
"Makenzie?" He shrugged and I nodded.
"Mya and Makenzie. I like. Now which is which?" I giggled.
"Pink hat is Mya, she looks goofy. And Makenzie is this tiny little girl."

"We made them... that's still so crazy to me." I shook my head and pulled my gown up, revealing my scar.
"I hate this so fucking much." I sighed, pulling it back down.
"I love it," He shrugged.
"It show how strong all 3 of y'all are." He added and I just nodded.
"You look sleepy." He chuckled and I rolled my eyes.
"I wanna talk to my babies some more." I said, rubbing Makenzies hand.
"Ight, wear yourself out. I love y'all." He chuckled, kissing my forehead.

Next morning..

"Touch her gently." I said as Miracle rubbed Makenzies hand through the incubator.
"Why are they in a box?" Saint asked and I sighed.
"They weren't ready to come out, and now they need to be protected so they can grow." I said and he nodded.
"When they come home are they still gonna be in there?" Serene asked.
"By the time they come home they'll be bigger and stronger, so no they won't." I weakly smiled and rubbed the back of Myas hand. I want to hold my babies so bad.

"So are you guys still going to my basketball game tomorrow?" MJ asked, looking at me and Mekai.
He looked at me and I nodded.
"Mommy can't go yet, but ima come ight?" Mekai said and MJ nodded.
"I wanted her to see me too." He sighed and sat in a chair. I pouted and rubbed my eyes.
"I'm sorry baby but I promise I'll be at your next game, okay?" I said and kissed his cheek.
"When can y'all take them home?" Anita asked.
"Whenever they get over 4 pounds.. they're barley 2 pounds now so it might be a while." I said, before taking a picture of them.

"Mommy her mouth is open like this," Miracle copied Makenzie and I laughed.
"I think she's crying, when's the last time they fed my children?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows and hitting the nurse button.
"Probably like 4 hours-"
"I swear to God, I can't stand this place." I laughed shaking my head.
The nurses took them into the nicu and fed them some breastmilk I pumped earlier.

I looked at my phone and furrowed my eyebrows at the unknown number.

"Mekai come look at this?" I scoffed, handing him my phone. He looked at it and clenched his fists.
"Send me that number and turn yo messages off." He said and I raised my eyebrow, before sending it to him.
It's obvious something is going on and I'm gonna find out.
