Omniscient POV
A week later

Mekai sat on Trinas bed blowing Sages phone up. She blocked him on everything and hasn't talked to him since the break up. She only let him talk to his kids over MJs ipad, but none of them really wanted to talk to him. MJ understood, but the younger kids only knew their mom was crying because of their dad. He felt like he was going crazy. The minute he gets his life back, he loses it over petty shit.
"Baby?" Trina said snapping him out of thought.
"Yeah?" He asked closing out of his messages.
"I was asking if you wanted some steak.." She raised her eyebrow. She knew something was going on.

"Oh um.. yeah." He nodded and she went downstairs. He grabbed his antidepressants and popped 3, even though he took 2 this morning. Grabbing the Hennessy bottle off of his nightstand, he took a swig while continuing to blow Sage up.
She sat on her bed, watching all the I'm sorry texts flow in.
"He's crazy." She laughed wiping her tears. She hated how he made her cry but it was hard to throw away almost 5 years of your life overnight.
It seemed like no matter what happened they found their way back to each other, but this time it wouldn't happen. She wouldn't let it happen.
This was more than a soul tie.

"So girl what you gonna do about her?" Aliyah asked her best friend Trina.
"I dont know! I don't wanna be that kind of babymama but she's getting in the way of everything, I know he's texting her! I told him to break up with her so I'll just do it for him." She said sitting at the table.
Trina and Aliyah met at a club and been best friends ever since.
Aliyah drifted away from Sage, Ash and Miko. Nobody knew but she had a huge crush on Mekai. It seemed like everyone wanted him. When Sage and him got serious, it made her mad so she disconnected herself from Sage.

"You don't need to be worried bout that bitch. You got your nigga and that's all that matters." She shrugged.
"I honestly think we should fight her, make her ass sit down and leave him alone." Trina suggested.
"See I fucks with that." She laughed.
"I'm not doing it while her kids at home, so maybe like right at 12 just jump in on that hoe. You know we gotta plan it." Trina laughed.
"I got you, maybe Harmony can pull up too." Aliyah added.
"Who?" Trina asked confused.
"You remember that one Instagram post and it was Mekai and a red head a few years ago? That's Harmony." She explained.

"And Harmony son is allegedly Mekais." She spilled and Trina rolled her eyes.
"Now I gotta fight 2 bitches." She scoffed.
"Harmony don't want him, that's the thing! She want help with her son and nothing else." She shrugged and Trina nodded
"Well Ima call you in the morning when we really fight this hoe." She laughed before they hung up.
Mekai stood at the top of the stairs hearing the entire conversation. He learned more in 10 minutes than the last few months. Going back into the room, he called Sage until she answered. He didn't want anything bad happening to her.

"What does he want?" Sage sighed wiping her hands off and pressing answer on Mekais call.
"Yes?" She asked holding the phone to her ear.
"I know you probably don't wanna be hearing from me but tomorrow Trina nem tryna pull up on you. Ima try and talk her into going somewhere else but I just needed you to know that." He sighed and Sage listened.
"Well thank you but you don't have to get her to go anywhere. Have the bitch drive to my house and get her and her friend ass beat." She shrugged before hanging up and calling Ashley.

"Y-yeah?" Ash moaned into the phone.
"Bitch are y'all fucking?" She furrowed her eyebrows.
"Noo." She dragged out placing her hand on Jonas's chest.
"Anyways, Mekai calling me saying Trina and some other bitch tryna come jump me tomorrow and-"
"Girl I'm on the way." She said jumping up and Jonas looked at her like she was crazy.
"Why are you coming if she not coming until the morning?" Sage asked confused.
"Cause bitch these people are crazy. They might show up in the middle of the night and jump you, ima just stay the night." She shrugged throwing clothes into a bag.

"See this why you're my bestie." Sage smiled shaking her head.
"Damn right, gimme 20 minutes. I love you babymama." Ash smiled.
"I love you too babydaddy." She laughed before hanging up. She didn't wanna have to fight in front of her kids so she was gonna let them stay with their Grandma.
The only reason Sage trusted her mom around her kids is because her father is in jail. She definitely didn't want her kids to go through what she did, and she still hasn't healed fully from that.
She walked into the living room where all the kids sat playing Monopoly.
"Hey mommy." Everyone but Miracle said.
"Hi mama!" She smiled.

"Do y'all wanna go with granny for the night?" She asked and they nodded quickly.
"She's gonna make us cake y'all, come on!" MJ smiled as they all ran upstairs.
She laughed and called her mom, letting her know everything that's going on.
"So the nigga is alive?" Veronica frowned.
"Yeah momma, I just didn't feel like it was my place to tell everyone cause he still was trying to be low key. But the fact that he cheated on me, not with a random, but with the woman who faked his child's death broke my heart. Then he tried to get MJ and Trina to bond but MJ wasn't having it. I just don't understand mommy." She ranted as her vision got blurry with tears.

"You can't make a child turn into a grown man Sage. If he wanted to be serious then he would be loyal to you. It's not okay if you have to raise him along with your actual kids, if he doesn't want to grow up then you just have to move on and co-parent." Her mom told her and she nodded.
"I know it's just hard to stop loving someone you've loved for almost 5 years. I can't just throw that away.. I don't see how he can." She sighed.
"You know good and well that boy didn't throw away his love for you. He just doesn't know how to act Sage. You can't control him and make him be loyal, just focus on you and them kids. Speaking of them kids, I'm outside." She smiled pulling into Sages driveway.

Once the kids went to their grandmas, Ash came and they waited around for Trina and her posse.
