Day 36 West Virginia
We arrived in West Virginia entering Charles Town where we all went to the Waterpark having a fun trip while helping Alexis swim with her floaties on her arms. Lastly was Charleston where we went to see the festivals, and the discovery museum for Alexis to enjoy along with playing in the park. As we got back we got emails about our class schedules and we all have Sikowitz for our final semesters excluding Trina who is getting different classes for her final semester.
Day 37 District of Columbia
When we entered the District of Columbia. We took a lot of pictures of the monuments like the Washington monument, the Lincoln memorial, Capital Hill, and the White House luckily we didn't get busted for taking photos. I took Alexis to the National Air and Space Museum along with the Smithsonian. Then we entered the RV as Alexis was playing with her toy shuttle I bought her at the museum.
Day 38 Maryland
Entering Maryland we got to Chesapeake Bay where Alexis got to play in the water, but near the shore with me accompanying her. Next was Annapolis where we watched performances, and ships that amazed Alexis. Ocean Park was next as we walked on the boardwalk with Alexis playing the games, and riding on one of the rides that she was able to get on. Baltimore was last as I took Alexis to the aquarium while everyone was doing their stuff. I even took her to a pirate ship attraction where I bought her a bandanna. Unfortunately, the sound of the cannon of the pirate ship got her scared while covering her ears. Luckily I was able to calm her down as we got back on the RV.
Day 39 Delaware
Delaware was next after Alexis was calmed down from the cannon going off. We arrived at Wilmington where I took Alexis to the museum, and gardens. Next was Dewey Beach where we went to the shops, and watched the performances. Dover is up ahead where I took Alexis to the art museum, and Rex got into another Casino. How he was able to get into casinos while we can't is a mystery. Luckily or at least for Beck there is a NASCAR international speedway. Rehoboth Beach was next with the docks, piers,, and amusement park for Alexis to have fun, and play even on rides. Then we got back to the RV ready for the next state.
Day 40 Pennsylvania
Ten days left before Summer ends, and school begins. Pennsylvania is our next destination as we entered Pittsburgh seeing the huge towers of the city along with a park for Alexis to play, and relax. Philadelphia was next as I took Alexis to the museum, and we all ate some cheesesteak, and I took a photo of both Alexis and I in front of the Liberty Bell. Surprisingly we got to Hershey Park where both Cat & Alexis's sweet tooth kicked in. We entered the park where we got on rides while Cat & Alexis ate almost all the chocolate in the park. After we finished we all returned to the RV with Alexis getting another bath to get all the chocolate off of her before she went to bed, but she wasn't tired at least not yet.
Day 41 New Jersey
New Jersey was next as we gone to Jersey City seeing the buildings. Then we went to New Jersey's Mystic Mountain theme park where Alexis got to ride the kiddie rides while the rest of us got on the big rides with either me or Cat to watch her. Atlantic City was next as we went shopping, and I took Alexis to the Aquarium along with the boardwalk with games, food and even performances.
Day 42 New York
We have been waiting for this day since we started this trip. We entered New York, and saw all the buildings. The biggest one was New York City traveling through Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Time Square seeing the Radio City Music Hall, all the stores, the Rockefeller Center, the museum of modern art which I took Alexis, the Empire State Building, and let Alexis play in Central Park, and we went to see the Statue of Liberty. After Alexis was tired out I put her on the couch with her blanket to let her sleep.
Day 43 Connecticut
Connecticut is next as we entered Norwalk where I took Alexis to the museum then the rest of us went shopping. Lastly was Hartford where there were multiple museums I took Alexis to. After we finished Connecticut we got back on the road to the next state.
Day 44 Rhode Island
Arriving at Rhode Island we started with Providence where we went to the Waterfront where we bought, and ate donuts. Alexis got frightened by the Big Blue Bug which is a roadside attraction. Then Newport where we went to shop, and eat while seeing the yachts. Then back on the road as Alexis ate her dinner in the RV.
Day 45 Massachusetts
5 days left of Summer as we entered Massachusetts. We first entered Northampton, a college town with great shops, restaurants, and performing arts. Then we attended the music festival, and film festival. Next was Salem which is infamous for its witch trials while it was spooky for all of us Jade found it interesting that she took Alexis to her a museum about witches even getting a witch hat, and a fake witch wand for Alexis. Lastly Boston is next with some of the greatest buildings, and fine dining. Back to the road with the last days of Summer beginning.
Day 46 Vermont
We entered Vermont, and there wasn't much so we only stopped at Burlington where we got ice cream, and checked out the art at the Church Street marketplace where I bought Alexis some new crayons in case her sky mall crayons are worn out.
Day 47 New Hampshire
New Hampshire was next as we entered Keane seeing the colonial theater where a music festival was held. The Seaport Portsmouth was next as we saw the buildings, the port, and the museums. Manchester was last, and it was full of art, entertainment, and culture, even good dining, and great shops, even an art museum.
Day 48 Maine
Maine was next on the final days as we got to as we went to Rockland during its Lobster Festival. Alexis felt bad for the lobsters, but I distracted her with the shops, and museums. Old Orchard Beach was next to where we spent most of our time at the pier, and the amusement park with Alexis having fun. Kennebunkport was next as we went to see the galleries. Portland was last as we went to art galleries, and shopping. Back on the road we were discussing going to Hawaii as the last day that I noticed we were one day off that I just realized why.
"Oh my god we forgot Mississippi."
Day 49 Mississippi
I couldn't believe we forgot about Mississippi. Before we headed to Hawaii we quickly without getting a speeding ticket to Mississippi, and arrived starting with Jackson "the city of soul." Where we saw live music. Lastly it was Clarksdale with the best music festival.
Day 50 Hawaii
After our little detour we finally arrived in Hawaii where we went to Honolulu checking out the city, and the beach where Alexis got to play in the water again. Lastly was Maui where once again our final beach day heck it was also the last day of Summer as Alexis was playing in the water with me nearby.
Day 51 back to California
After a very long trip we finally came home to California. All of us were exhausted from the trip, even Alexis was tired that she kept nodding off, so as the three of us were dropped off at our house last I took Alexis with almost all the souvenirs she got in every state upstairs and put her to bed letting her sleep. Tomorrow the final first day of school begins.
