12. Faiyaz

Faiyaz's days were going amazingly well. But he didn't want to jinx anything. Not only did he have a boyfriend that doted on him, but they also had a cat together now. Even though he missed Oli, but Moon was also very affectionate and needed a lot of attention. Unfortunately, most of his attention was directed towards Jude. Faiyaz thought of him as a traitor because he was the one that rescued him and yet he stuck to Jude whenever he was home. But Faiyaz understood, he also really really liked to rub his body on Jude's. The thought made him blush as he stroked Moon's back as the little thing slept on his thigh. He sighed and kept typing on his laptop, he was filling out application forms for his master's degree. But this shit was too time consuming.

Faiyaz hated filling up forms. He felt a headache creeping up from the back of his neck. Fuck. He stood up abruptly and Moon fell to the ground and looked at him accusingly. Faiyaz apologized to the tiny victim but to no avail. Maybe this was why he preferred Jude over him. Jude was gentle and caring. Faiyaz sighed again.

He was in a good mood too. Since all of Jude's family now knew about their affair, they didn't need to hide anything. Most of the days they had dinner with Shlok and Divit. Sometimes even with aunty as well. Faiyaz has moved out almost all of his clothes and essentials to this flat. Even though his sister was sad, she understood that their home environment was getting too toxic for Faiyaz. She had said goodbye with teary eyes while his mother glared and him and refused to talk. Faiyaz missed his home sometimes, the old memories felt like ice shards stabbing his heart. He was angry at his mother. She did not help him when that monster did unspeakable things to his body, and now she was angry and all up in his business because he loved a guy. The double standard made him see red. He went to the fridge and slammed it open. Taking a packet of chips and ripping it open. He angrily put a handful into his mouth.

Filling out forms took some time. But he was glad that he had scored well in his graduation. He would probably get into one of the top universities of Kolkata without any difficulty at all. The thought made him smile. He looked at the clock and it was already 7. Jude will be home soon. Faiyaz got up and started to cook dinner. Jude loved it when he cooked. Faiyaz watched a lot of videos and learned a lot of recipes that he would cook for his boyfriend. Jude always showered him with compliments and love for his cooking. And his cooking was really good, Jude wasn't just biased. He had cooked for all Jude's friends and family who have come over. They all praised this little boy's talent.

Faiyaz happily moved around the kitchen, getting the marinated meat out of the fridge, and started the process of cooking. It wasn't gonna take more than an hour and Jude will also be home by then. By his calculations, they would both be able to eat warm food. He hummed a happy tune that had been stuck in his head all day. Moon also hung out with him in the kitchen, he seemingly forgot the bad blood from before as he smelt meat.

The atmosphere was happy and homely. Faiyaz was contented. He had a home now, a family.

The bell rang and Faiyaz perked up, so did Moon. They were waiting for one person to come home. Faiyaz skipped to the door but the door opened to a few unfamiliar faces. He felt his face drop. This wasn't Jude.

"Hi." The guy at the front said to him.

"Hello." Faiyaz also smiled and greeted back.

"I am really sorry to have bothered you at this time. But we need you to come with us." The guy said. The two other men at his back had almost identical stoic faces. This guy was taller than Faiyaz and looked very gentlemanly. But for some reason he rubbed Faiyaz wrong. He shook his head in confusion.

"Come? Where?" He asked. The guy smiled almost eerily.

"I'm sorry but you don't get to ask the questions." And before Faiyaz could react to his words, one of the guys at the back held a handkerchief to his nose and mouth. He couldn't even scream. In under a minute his body was giving up. The last thing he saw in his peripheral vision was the creepy man kicking a screaming Moon into the room and close the door.

Then Faiyaz was forced to give up his consciousness and succumb into a black nothing.
