Krist
Krist receives the envelope from Khun Jai, the doorman, with a little hesitance. There's an S over the seal on the back so he knows who it's from.
He's had a really great day today: his promo for Oishi went really well, he and Mook got to see the trailer for their series and it looks epic, Khun Tha spoke with him about what he wants to do next and really listened, Mike sent him a message about having dinner the next day and Bank has been sending him cat pictures all day, getting steadily cuter and cuter. So he doesn't want this letter to leave him feeling sour.
He doesn't know what Singto thought of his own so he doesn't know what to expect in return. But the swirling S on the back is giving him hope. Surely, someone who's still pissed at you doesn't take the time to draw that?
He bounds to the lift and up to his room, scooping up both kitties when he arrives. Bank is lounging on his sofa, legs up, playing some kind of video game.
"Good day?" He asks, not even glancing up.
"Yeah." Krist says, letting a grin spread on his lips , "It was actually. A really good one, thanks."
Bank stops his game at Krist's words and stares at him. "Good. It's almost like you're you again."
Krist smiles again and then heads to the fridge for a drink, throwing one to his friend, "I feel it too. Doesn't mean I.."
"Doesn't mean you don't still love him. Or miss him. Or want him here. But it does mean you're starting to cope with it. And that's good." Then Bank clinks their bottles together and grabs the envelope from Krist's hand. "Is this from him?"
"Yeah. I'm a bit nervous to open it." Krist admits as he swings himself onto the couch, Muffin crawling onto his knee.
"He finally replied?"
"I guess. I mean it's either a reply or a f*ck off."
"It won't be that. That man could never resist you Krist. It's not going to be 'get lost'. It might not be as much as you want either. But it's something."
"Always the therapist," Krist jokes as he grabs the envelope back. "Shall I open it?"
"Do you want to?"
"Yes."
"Do you want me to leave?"
Krist's hand shoots out to grab his friend's wrist. "No. I don't want to do this alone. Just in case.. just in case it's Singto language for F off."
Bank nods and then lifts Pluto into his lap, curling a hand around his belly, "Tell your Dad that your Papa isn't going to be mean."
"Papa won't be mean!" Bank squeaks in his 'Pluto' voice, making Krist giggle.
""Okay, okay, I'm opening it."
He reads in silence, unable to take it all in. It's so.. precious.
"Well?" Bank asks.
"Umm. It's like a description from an essay about people who've inspired him. He.. he chose me Bank. He chose me."
Bank smiles at his friend's look of surprise, "Of course he did, you idiot. I already told you, that boy's got it bad."
Krist grins, then pulls out the photos, smile stretching even wider at Singto's note. His whole heart feels like it is going to burst from the little message and he doesn't really know what to do next.
He asks Bank.
"Well, I suppose it depends on what you want next? Singto made it pretty clear that he's not going to date you for the next two years. He also made it completely clear that he still loves you and doesn't want to break up permanently. And I think most of Phuket probably knows that he just wants a break while he's abroad. So.."
Krist grimaces a little at the memory. Then he makes a decision. "I'll send him something back. He might not want to talk on the phone or Skype or whatever. But getting my letter doesn't seem to be against his rules. What do you think?"
