Singto
Singto can't believe that Krist is here. He can't speak as he stares at him in shock.
When Joshua interrupts, he's grateful as it snaps him out of staring into Krist's beautiful brown eyes. When he asks who Krist is, he sees him blink and then he says he's going to come back later.
"No way! You came all this way, no!"
Krist still turns as though to leave and Singto can't help it. He launches himself at the other man, dragging him into his arms. There's no way he's letting Krist leave now.
He feels the second that Krist gives in, burrowing into Singto's warmth, his head resting where it fits perfectly against his neck. It's the best feeling in the world and Singto feels tears spring to his eyes as he holds Krist even tighter.
He doesn't care that Joshua can see them. He doesn't care that there's a roomful of his friends behind him. He only cares that Krist came. He's here.
"Gun, what's going on?" He hears Bess' question, but he has no intention of moving to answer it until Krist lifts his head and starts to pull away. Then Singto lets him, but keeps one arm looped over his shoulders so he can't escape.
He locks eyes with Krist. They communicate silently as they have done for years at fan meets and when performing on stage.
"Sorry, umm this is Krist."
He feels Bess' reaction more than hears it but luckily there's no need for him to reply, because Mathilde does it for him.
Mathilde who he broke down on a little over a week ago when he still hadn't heard back from Krist even though he knew the diary had been delivered.
She offers Bess a wide smile as she replies, "Krist is Singto's boyfriend."
He feels Krist's reaction. He doesn't try to escape, instead, he tucks himself closer to Singto and it's the best possible feeling in the world. Singto turns his head slightly and is rewarded with one of Krist's tiny pleased smiles, the ones that he had always turned on Singto in the past. It feels incredible to see it live in the flesh at last.
Bess is staring at Mathilde still and when she speaks, he understands why she hasn't reacted yet. "Mathilde? I don't get it. I mean, okay this is Krist. But who's Singto?"
Beside him, Krist says "Is this my competition?" Then he starts to laugh. It's one of his sweet little ones, not a great guffaw, but it's still catching and Singto finds himself giggling along as though he's not twenty-six years old.
Bess stares between them, unsure what has been said. Then she gives Singto a pointed glance. He decides to put her out of her misery at last.
"Oh, sorry Bess. I guess Thai nicknames can be quite confusing - my name is Prachaya Ruangroj but my mother gave me the nickname Gun and my father gave me the nickname Singto."
She stares at him again before she looks between the pair of them again, "So.. you're Singto? And he's Krist? So, what, you're boyfriends?"
"Finally, you got it!" Mathilde laughs, then pushes past the other woman to hold out her hand to Krist. "Sawasdee Ka Khun Krist, Chan cheu Mathilde."
Singto shares a grin with his friend and smiles as Krist replies in stilted English.
Eventually, as they are all still in a holding pattern in the doorway to the room, the elevator dings and the pizza arrives. Luckily, Joshua takes over and Singto is able to pull Krist into their room and onto his bed, where they both settle at the top of it, resting on his pillows.
It's comforting for Singto that the entire time, Krist does not let go of his hand.
While the others bustle around, pulling out napkins and refilling drinks Singto speaks in a low voice, desperate for some answers.
