It's been a month since Krist had moved in with Singto and his roommate Joshua. And while it's a little bit strange to be sharing a room with two grown men, it's also a bit like going back to his uni days when he barely ever slept alone.
Of course, a month in he misses his cats dreadfully and he can't count the number of phone calls he and Singto have shared with their friends catching up with them and listening to the cats mewl over the phone. He knows in his heart that he won't last to the end of Singto's time at uni here without a visit back, and he is already planning one for both of them as a surprise.
Luckily, Mathilde has become another new best friend and she has all the details to help him with his planning since she has a similar course load to his boyfriend.
They'd caused chaos posting the first vlog and the picture of them kissing in Time Square a few days ago, but Krist really doesn't care if he's honest. He'd consulted with his management team and P'Tha before he'd posted it and they'd all been exceptionally positive about him and Singto finally coming clean with their stupidly long secret relationship.
And things feel so much lighter now they've admitted it to the world.
"So many of them still aren't convinced, Krist!" Singto laughs as he flips through the Twitter he's been mostly ignoring for the past three months. "They're saying it's photoshopped and that we only did the kiss on the cheek in the video to add fuel to the fire! What do you think? Do we need to make an official announcement though our management?"
"Isn't it strange, Peraya have tried for years to get us to confirm our relationship, yet here we are admitting it and they just won't believe it! I don't know what the best way to deal with it is, if I'm honest. But, I do have an idea for how to share our relationship a little more without revealing too many secrets.."
The next day, Singto has no classes so they take a train out of the city and end up in Philadelphia, just an hour away.
Krist has decided to make a short food vlog in the city after doing a lot of research online about famous American restaurants.
"We're going to Sonny's! It's the top place to get a philly cheese steak in the city, P'Singto, okay?" Then he grabs his Phi's hand, something that has become normal for him in the city since no-one seems to bat an eyelid at two men holding hands, and marches them out of the train station using his gps to navigate.
They're standing outside the black and white storefront in a few minutes and Krist is gazing at it in delight. "Look, P'Sing! It looks sooo good!"
"Want me to start filming? Am I in this shot?"
They set up the selfie stick and Krist starts to chat away about Sonny's. He's obviously done his research and Singto can't help it if he just stares at him, eyes full of love.
Once Krist has finished his spiel about the restaurant, they head inside and Singto approaches the counter, asking politely if they can have permission to film inside for their travel show.
The owner seems delighted and even offers them a free upgrade on their meals for the publicity, then asks them where he can watch it later.
Krist grins as he explains they will post it to YouTube but that it will be in Thai with English subs, which prompts the man to start telling them about his own trips to Thailand, even pulling up some of his photos on his phone which they politely coo over.
When he asks if he can get a selfie to post on his IG, the two share a conspiratorial look and quickly stand either side of him, holding up a plate of his food. When Sonny is happy with the picture, he asks if he can tag them and they both smile again.
"You can, if you don't mind that we're in a relationship?"
Sonny laughs and agrees that he has no issue and they quickly share their IG's with him.
As they sit down with their food, they hear a shriek and find Sonny staring at them in shock.
"Do you know that between you, you have almost 7 million IG followers? My post already got 42,000 likes and it's been about.. four minutes since I posted!"
They share a grin and then ask him if that's okay. But Sonny just whoops loudly again as he rushes to show his staff who then stare at Krist and Singto in shock.
"Umm, Sonny?" Krist asks, hesitating as he prepares the English words in his head, "Could you take a picture for us to post too, please?"
Then he links his fingers with Singto's across the table, and Singto lifts a bite of food towards Krist, and Krist leans in and locks eyes with his lover.
They hear the click and Sonny smiles, "Such a gorgeous picture. Want another one?"
With Sonny's permission, they stand up beside the store sign, Singto behind Krist with his hands linked around the younger man's waist, Krist gazing into his eyes, completely besotted.
The final picture is the same one, but Singto is leaning in for a kiss.
As Sonny keeps refreshing his IG, "100,000 likes now... 108,000.. oh my goodness!" Krist and Singto write a caption for their own post and drop it at the same second.
"In Love with Phi... Philly Cheese steaks." (Krist)
"K(r)iss(t) me for the cheesy goodness." (Singto)
As they finish their meals, video blogging all completed, Sonny drops by their table and shows them his IG post has gone viral, being shared across the world with almost a million likes already.
He insists that they come back to Philly one day for a free sandwich and they can't help but agree.
It's been a good day out.
