'You know, this is exhausting. All I ever do is drive him to bars so he could get drunk with his so called friends. I feel like a soccer mom.'- Taylor took a deep breath while she was pacing back and forth in the room.
Y/N looked up for a moment and then back to her notes. It was a usual Friday afternoon for her. Taylor, one of her clients came to a therapy session and now she's raging about her stupid boyfriend. The truth to be told, Y/N didn't like the boy. She thought the blond girl deserves better, even tho she didn't really know her. She just had a feeling that Taylor is a pretty nice, clever and funny girl who just got stuck in a poisoning relationship. It happens with the bests as well.
'... not mentioning the fact that we usually break up at least 5 times a week. We hadn't seen each other in almost 2 months because he was touring with his brothers in Europe or somewhere. He called me up in the middle of the night and he said he needed space...Who does that?!'
Y/N wondered why Taylor is with him anyway. She's beautiful, she could get basically anyone in this world but she still chooses a guy who doesn't even care for her. Not a single bit. Of course as a therapist she heard a lot of stories about bad relationships but it was different. She felt sorry for the girl. It was clear, Taylor put everything into that relationship and she got nothing in return.
'...he showed up at my house the other day, he said he misses me and he's gonna change. Well, at least this time it lasted for almost a day.'
Y/N wasn't really paying attention. She liked Taylor, she liked her a lot. She wished Taylor would talk more about herself than about this guy named Joe. She wanted to know more about Taylor. What kind of things she likes, what kind of things she hates. She wanted to know the singer's favorite color, favorite food, also the girl's first stuffed animal's name and she also wanted to know the song that means the most to her. But all Y/N knew so far was that Taylor is a hopeless romantic kind and would fight to death for the ones she loves. Even if they don't love her back.
'...I swear to god this motherfucker is doing it on purpose. He loves picking fights and as stupid as I am, I'm falling for it. Then he's playing the victim and hides away with some indie record 'that's much cooler than mine'.'
'I don't get enough money for this' Y/N sighed and leaned back in her chair.
'Hey! I heard that' Taylor scoffed.
'Yeah, you were supposed to...Listen to me, Taylor! I'm not a love expert, I don't date, I don't have a girlfriend either but I'm pretty sure that the dude who's making you cry everyday isn't your soulmate and isn't the one.'
'You might right' Taylor took a seat in front of you and looked in to your eyes. You could see the sad expression on her face.
'Trust me, I'm right. I know he's not good for you. Or your health. You should never ever get back with him again.'
'But he used to say 'never say never.'
'Taylor, dear! I don't give a damn.' Y/N smiled politely.
The blond one tilted her head back and let out a little laugh. "And you wonder why you're still single...'
'Nope, i didn't say I wonder. I know exactly why I'm single.'
'Well then, you should change your behavior, be a little kinder and more open-minded. You'll find someone pretty quick.'
'Not even planning. Whoever is gonna be my partner in crime, she has to deal with my bitchy ass and sarcastic comments. She has to like me for me.'
'Well, I like you for you.' Taylor smiled at the beautiful girl in front of her.
'Yeah, and you also like a guy who literally treats you like shit.'
'Now I feel attacked' Taylor opened her mouth to say something more but she changed her mind. She pretended to be hurt but smiled a little.
'As you should. I'm only telling you the truth.'
'Okay, got it. But back to the 'i like you a lot' topic, take me seriously!'
'Honey, the last time I took someone seriously I ain't smiled for 12 months.' Y/N laughed sarcastically.
'Oh my god, okay. If it isn't the bridge I said I would cross when I came to it...'
'Excuse me, what?!'
'Just because one girl acted like a bitch and cheated on you doesn't mean everyone is like that. At least I know I'm not like that' the singer whispered the last part shyly but the girl in front of her heard it pretty well.
'I'm sorry Taylor but I don't date with my patients.' Y/N simply shrugged her shoulders and started to flip her notes.
'Alrighty then. You're fired'
The Y/H/C haired girl just stared at Taylor. She didn't even blink once. She thought she heard it wrong.
'Don't look at me like that. It's not like I needed your help. I just thought you're extremely beautiful and wanted to spend some alone time with you. This whole thing I was whining about was 10 years ago.'
There was an uncomfortable silence between the two. Taylor felt embarrassed. She could've just asked the girl out on a date in the first place instead of this whole therapy bullshit. On the other hand, Y/N was flattered. She thought through the whole thing and as strange as it was, she still was amazed by the effort Taylor put into it.
'You know what?! I'll go out with you. You have one chance Taylor.'
'Not that I'm complaining but usually everyone has two chances in someone's life.'
'Yeah, that's right but you've already messed up one with the whole 'i need a therapist because I'm so not over a guy I dated 10 years ago' thing.'
'Fair enough. So how does 7 pm sounds to you?'
'Sounds perfectly fine!' Y/N winked.
Taylor nodded and left the room with the biggest smile on her face. She was so happy and couldn't wait to prove Y/N that with the right person a relationship isn't that bad after all.
