(A/N: I started a new Taylor fanfiction called 'The other woman'. I would be more than glad if you would check it out ‹3)
"When will she arrive?" asked Everett, yours and Taylor's six years old son.
You smiled at him. He was a beautiful kid. He had mesmerizing blue eyes and curly, ginger hair paired with a funny, honest, mostly sassy personality. You remembered the first time you met him. He only was a year old. You knew then and there that he's gonna be your son, nobody else. And Taylor thought the same.
He lived with you for 8 months when you were finally able to officially adopt him. You couldn't be happier, you had a beautiful family with your gorgeous son, your amazing girlfriend, with three pretty cute cats and your dog, Pine. You fought with Taylor a lot about the dog living there with you and the cats but your willpower was stronger than hers but with time, she managed to love Pine.
Everything was perfect, at least it seemed to be. Everett needed a lot of attention, of course. Taylor was really sweet, she tried her best, she helped you with everything she could, she was by your side, she did everything. She even got up in the middle of the night just to sing for your crying baby. But you didn't pay enough attention to her, you were tired all the time, all your thoughts were around Everett, you just weren't in the mood for her. She understood perfectly but she had needs.
She made a mistake. A big one. A mistake she'll regret every day for the rest of her life. She cheated on you. It only happened once but you couldn't trust her anymore. You felt betrayed, humiliated, you just couldn't be with her. She tried everything to get you back but it wasn't that easy for you and after a long time, she gave up. She gave up on you and your relationship.
You broke up with her almost two years ago and you still missed her like crazy. You haven't been with anybody ever since. Not like her. She had a new girlfriend. Everett hated her with his whole heart and he wasn't afraid to point this fact out to Taylor either.
Telling the truth, Taylor wasn't in love with this girl, she was far from that. She was still madly in love with you but she needed to move on since she thought you want nothing to do with her.
"She should be here in any minute now" you replied him and caressed his little face.
"I don't wanna go" he whined.
"Why? I though you love spending time with Mama."
"I do, I really love her. I just don't wanna be around Karlie. She's mean and she said she's gonna be my new Mama, but I don't want her to be my new Mama, Mommy. I already have two and I love you both, don't wanna have a new one" he cried out.
"She really said that to you? Did Taylor hear that, honey?" I asked worried as I pulled him into a big, warm hug, kissed his forehead and tried to calm him down.
"No, she was at the kitchen making me pancakes" he smiled through his tears.
"Well, that's pretty nice of her" I let out a little laugh.
"Yes, she's pretty nice."
"She definitely is" I nodded.
When I was about to ask him another question, there was a knock on our front door. Everett jumped up from the couch he was sitting on and ran to open the door for Taylor.
"Hey, my baby" Taylor laughed, picked him up and hugged him with all her strength.
She was on tour to Europe so they haven't met in a long time. Everett missed her, so did you.
"Hi" you looked at Taylor and smiled slightly when she entered the living room with the little boy in her arms.
"Hey" Taylor smiled back at you.
"How was tour?" you tried to be polite and asked her.
"It was awesome, always gives me the biggest adrenaline rush, I could finally be with my fans and sing my songs to them. It was really wonderful. I just missed my favorite son" she winked and kissed Everett on his left cheek. She wanted to tell you that she missed you as much as she did miss Everett, but she knew it would fell on deaf ears.
"That's great. I'm glad you had fun."
An awkward silence fell between the two of you. You hated it. When you were together, you could talk about literally nothing all day long and now it feels hard to even talk for a minute.
"So, are you ready to go?" Taylor turned her attention to Everett, breaking the silence.
"Gonna go get my elephant and I am" and with that, the boy ran upstairs to find her stuffed animal, leaving you two alone.
"Hey, there's something I would like to talk to you about" you started and patted the empty place next to you on the couch. She sat down next to you and looked deep in your (Y/E/C) orbs.
"What would you like to talk about, you seem serious. Are you okay?" you could tell she was worried, you heard it in her voice. You chuckled.
"I'm perfectly fine, don't worry about me. I just wanted to talk about your girlfriend, Karlie" it was painful to even think about Taylor's new lover, and about she, being in love with someone that is not you. You always thought you two are gonna get old together.
"What about her?" the older girl in front of you furrowed her eyebrows and looked extremely confused.
"Could you please tell her to do not say things like she's gonna be my son's new mom to Everett? He really was upset about it."
"She said what?" Taylor asked furiously.
"Look, it's okay if you wanna marry her or something but please..."
"I definitely do NOT want to marry her, Y/N. The only girl I've ever wanted to marry was you. Actually, you're still the one I want to marry" she whispered the last part but you could hear it perfectly.
"Taylor.." you sighed and was about to protest but she didn't let you.
"No, Y/N. You're gonna listen to me. I know I fucked up, okay?! Like, big time. But you never gave me a real chance to even try to make it up for you, to show you how sorry I am and to prove you how much I love you. You might think I'm all talk because I have a girlfriend now, but I don't love her, I swear to God I don't. Don't get me wrong, she's a nice girl but she's not you. I've never loved anybody like I love you. I could never, ever hurt you the way I did 2 years ago. I know I can't say sorry enough for what I did, but I'm willing to do anything if it means I'm getting you back. Getting you and Everett back" she slowly reached for your hands, afraid that you will pull away. But you did not.
You've spent two years without Taylor, and it was terrible. You loved her with your whole heart. Yes, she might have made a mistake but everyone deserves a second chance and you were sure she's not gonna do you wrong this time.
"I forgive you. But just so you know, it's gonna be freaking hard to have my trust back, Swift. Freaking hard" you tried to be serious but giggled a little at the end of your sentence.
Taylor wasted no time, she pulled you in to a very passionate, needed kiss that you both have been yearning for.
"So does this mean I can unpack my bag?" you quickly pulled away, both of you looked at Everett who was standing on top of the stairs, holding his elephant in his hands.
"It does" you replied and gently kissed Taylor's lips again.
