“So, what was that about?” Owen asked his friend whose eyes were focused on the road as he drove his Audi R8.

Blake glanced at Owen before returning his eyes to the road.

“Nothing.” He replied, shortly.

Owen threw his hands up in the air, rolling his eyes at Blake’s answer. “Oh...so we’re not sharing anything now...I see.” Owen mocked.

Blake frowned at his friend as he punched his arm lightly. “Is my love for you not enough ?” He teased.

Owen frowned. “That scene in the classroom isn’t nothing, Blake.

“It was nothing, Owen. She’s my partner for the history project and I asked her for her number so I could call her and talk about it.” He replied with a shrug.

Owen smirked amusingly at his friend. “Did you...or did you just want her number for you?”

Blake sighed before he spoke. Knowing Owen, he wouldn’t let it go but Blake just didn’t want to talk about it just yet. He wasn’t even sure himself what was that about. “Owen, she’s my partner and that’s it.”

“Mhmm. Whatever makes you feel better.” Owen said with a smirk on his face.

“Anyway, why do I have to be at the meeting again?” Blake asked.

“Your dad wants you to be there. Besides, you’re the heir for the Conrad Company. You should be there.”  He answered him.

“There’s no way of getting out of this, isn’t it?” Blake spoke with a sigh.

Owen looked at his friend in sympathy. He knew that he didn’t like to get involved with his dad’s work. He wanted to pursue his dreams and work on his own instead.

“Yeah man. On the bright side, we’ll get free coffee.”

Blake chuckled before he let out another sigh. “That’s great, Owen. Just great.”

“Thanks again Chels, for doing the grocery for me.” Ela said affectionately to her friend as she unblocked her seat belt.

“Girl, it’s fine. Plus, little Darcy here seems very eager to go shopping.” Chelsea spoke, turning her face to Darcy who was smiling.

“Yeah!” Darcy exclaimed in excitement, her sweet smile lightened up the whole place.

Elektra smiled as she patted her sister’s head “Now, Darcy. Remember what I told you...”

“Don’t leave Chelsea’s side.” Her little sister replied.

Ela raised an eyebrow as she chimed in. “And...”

“Don’t buy too many sweets.” She sighed with a pout.

Ela just had to chuckle at her little sister. “Good. Take care, Darc.” She said as she pressed her lips on her sister’s forehead.

“See you, Ely.” Darcy waved.

“Don’t worry. I’ll take care of her. She’ll be fine and I’ll send her back home before coming here and give you the groceries.” Chelsea chimed.

Ela smiled as she hugged her friend and thanked her once more before she got off the car and headed into the day care.

As she entered the small one-storey house, she was greeted with Daniel’s bright smile. “Hey!” He greeted happily.
