"It's nice meeting you...but I should really be going now." Blake politely dismissed the girl in front of him and walked away with his eyes searching for someone he really wanted to see.
He had been waiting for her the moment he came to this ball. His eyes were searching for any signs of her but he found none. Even when he was on stage, he searched for her in the crowd but she was nowhere to be seen.
She might be late, he thought, trying to calm his nerves down.
Blake was honestly afraid that Elektra would not show up, that she might stood him up but he knew Elektra wasn't the girl who would do that. Despite the fact that she'd been leaving him hanging a lot of times, he'd knew she wouldn't stood him up.
Well, she would at least tell him if she couldn't make it.
It looked like he wasn't curious at the fact that Elektra left him a lot of times when they were together but he was. For instance, that time when he walked her back to her house and Henry showed up. She instantly went tense and left him hanging with questions swirling around in his head. He did ask her and she did answer but he had the feeling that she was hiding something from him.
Desperately, he wanted to follow her and know where she went but he did not have the heart to do it. He would not want to intrude her life and make her angry.
He trusted her, of course, he absolutely trusted her but he just wanted to know what she was hiding from him.
Fixing the mask on his face, he sighed, hating this feeling of loneliness in him. He needed her with him. She was the only one who could make him happy by doing nothing at all. She made him forget how horrible this world actually was.
His attention kicked in when all of the sudden the room went quiet and hush whisperings filled the room. He faced the door and he felt his breath taken away from him.
Standing at the door was the most beautiful creature that he had ever seen. Her brown hair flows like an evening river, glowing like a halo. Her eyes, surrounded by a black masquerade mask, were searching the room for someone almost, as she glided across the room with her beautiful fiery sky dress.
Everyone in this room was focused on her.
Blake was sure everyone thought she was the most beautiful person here and he couldn't agree less. She was exotic.
Couldn't help his curiosity, he walked towards her. His palms getting sweatier with every each step that made him rub his them on his black pants as he stood before her.
She turned her head and their eyes met. Every word in his head disappeared and he could only stood there and stare at the breathtaking woman in front of her.
Swallowing his throat as he tried to find a word that he could speak out, letting his eyes linger on hers. They were brown in colour with golden flecks in them. They reminded him of autumn leaves.
Something slapped him out of his daze and he stood there, surprised as he let his eyes roamed her.
He mentally scolded himself for not noticing it before. Of course, this beautiful creature would be her. No one could even compare.
