Chapter 28

- 9 weeks later -

Me and Ashton were out having lunch. I have a week left till mine and Luke's baby is here. Our little baby boy. I can't believe how quickly it's gone. I can't wait to hold him in my arms. I can't wait to see him. I went to take a sip of my water when a sharp pain came to my hips and lower back making me drop the glass. I put my hand on my hip and closed my eyes.

Ashton: "Phee?"

Me: "I-I think I'm in la-labour"

Ashton: "shit. Right come on"

Ashton put some money on the table and helped me up. Luckily we only came in one car so one wouldn't be stuck here. When we got in the car Ash phoned Luke only he didn't answer.

Me: "why the fuck isn't he answering"

Ashton: "I don't know, Phee just breathe okay we're nearly at the hospital"

We got to the hospital and got a bed just as another contraction came. The nurse told me I was only 2cm. Ash kept trying to phone Luke.

Me: "I-ill try he might answer me"

Ashton: "good idea"

I started to ring and he answered nearly straight away.

Luke: "hi, baby"

Me: "Luke Hemmings get your pretty arse to the hospital now"

Luke: "hold up what's happening??"

Me: "I'm in labour and Ash tried to phone you but you haven't been answering"

Luke: "sorry, princess I was busy but I'm on my way!!"

Me: "hurry up"

Half an hour later Luke came running into the hospital room panting.

Luke: "great timing that one"

Ash: "what took you so long and why didn't you answer me?"

Luke whispered something to Ash which made Ashton look really happy then he sat next to me on the bed.

Luke: "nurse been?"

Me: "mhm I'm only 2cm she should be coming back soon to check again"

Another contraction came and I grabbed Luke's hand squeezing it. He helped me through it looking at the machine monitoring my contractions.

Ash: "Chloe, Calum, Georgia and James should be here soon"

Me: "mhm"

"Let's see what progress we've made. Oh is this dad?"

Me: "yeah he's here now"

"Right your nearly 3cm"

I groaned I haven't dilated even a centimetre in a hour. The nurse looked at the machine monitoring my contractions and left saying she'd be back in 2 hours. Ash sat down on the chair and Luke sat on the bed with me. 20 minutes later Chloe, Calum and the kids walked in.

Chloe: "how you feeling, babe?"

Me: "terrific"

Chloe: "silly question sorry. How many centimetres are you dilated?"

Me: "nearly 3 20 minutes ago"

Chloe: "going to be here a while then"

Me: "yep"

G: "PHEE"

Me: "hi, bubba!"

G: "why you in the hospital?"
