EPILOGUE: 3 Years Later

NOLTON

Never did I think that at any point in my life, would I be where I am at today.

It's been three years since that whole chaos bullshit happened and we went on Groman's yacht towards an island in the Bahamas where we all ended up staying for a while before eventually making a final decision to stay permanently and live here forever.

Nobody knew us here. We could easily start all over again, which we have.

Once we arrived at the island, by the time we had gotten here, all of us who had been wounded from the shootout with Marlon, were mostly healed. My Uncle took longer but, he survived.

Groman also was right in assuring us that he had us taken care of financially for life and gave Leona and I a brand new start. Never believed that was possible but, I guess it is since we have been living by our new identities and I now had an honest job.

However, in just a short while, I am about to make this new life official. As I stand here with our new and old friend's, including Groman, the sand is gentle on my barefeet and there is a soft gentle breeze blowing, along with a ear blue water for the ocean behind me as I wait for her. My life. My love. My everything.

I feel more nervous than I have ever been in my life and trust me when I tell you that I have been through a lot of crazy situations where nerves were the least of my worries, but were still there that shit was about to get real.

Brett tries hard to calm me down and right when I take in a deep breath and let it out, I hear the music start to play and then as soon as I look up, I see several feet away, walking towards me, my Uncle Rainey escorting the woman I am about to give my new last name to, getting closer and closer while looking beautiful.

Damnit....now I feel as though I have officially lost it. My eyes are beginning to get blurry from these tears forming in my eyes. She is so damn beautiful and is all mine. Forever.

When she gets to me, we both thank Uncle Rainey and he gives her a kiss on the cheek before handing me her hand.

Brett was of course my Best Man while Marlie was her Maid Of Honor.

While standing there holding each other's hands and looking at one another before the guy began to speak, we mouthed 'I love you' to each other.

The guy made things funny yet romantic still and very nice. Then once we said 'I Do', we kissed then walked through the silk runner we had for the aisle before next heading towards where the reception was going to be at. It was close towards where our island house I had built for us, was located.

Just like the ceremony, the reception was outside still on the beach and had a great time.

Throughout the entire night at the party, no matter if I was talking to some people or not, I would always find her and look at her with a smile, causing her to blush.

Forever I am going to wear this ring she gave me today and never remove it. I want everybody to know she is mine and I am hers and most importantly, it's a reminder in not just by how lucky I am in general, but how much my life has changed for the better and how I couldn't have done it without her.

Well holy-damsel-in-distress, I could not be any happier than I am today.

Things really haven't been as hard as I thought they would be with what all Nolton and I had been through in just the short amount of time we knew each other. Also, who the heck would have thought also that this all started with an accident that his buddy did in hitting me?

However, as of a few months ago, it's become a good scar and I'm lucky I don't have a huge one like Uncle Rainey does.

The scar is a reminder to me of what I went through in my life and still came out on top as well as me being with a man that I am deeply in love with and shares the same feeling towards me.

After saying 'goodnight' to everybody, we headed back to our nice little island beach house he had built for us with the help of his Uncle, Brett, and other friends.

It's nice here. The people here are very laid back and chill and are very friendly and welcoming to where you don't even feel like a tourist ever.
