'Weightless? Cold? Wet?' I was slowly regaining consciousness. 'Where am I?' I slowly opened my eyes and a bluish light started illuminating through my eyelids. 'Water?' I couldn't tell if I was floating or sinking, was I upside down or sideways. I observed the environment. Completely blue, all around me, infinite blue. Confusion took me, thoughts disordered, and then I tried to take a deep breath. 'Ain't gonna happen!' I realised. I started waving my hands trying to reach the surface, but I didn't know if I was headed in the right direction. No pressure from the water, no sense of gravity that would help me. I was forcing my way up, hopefully, it was up. And finally I surfaced and took the deepest breath, as I haven't had a breath of air for days. The air was everything but fresh. It kind of tasted stale, suffocated with smoke. Everything around me coloured in desert yellow as the surface of the water reflected the colour of the sky, smothered with light grayish clouds coloured in a fainted yellow. The clouds lingered across the skies as a thick carpet, not allowing much sunlight to reach through. The sun was barely visible, positioned in the middle of the sky, it was noon, but it seemed more like dawn or twilight. I turned around and realised something joyful. 'I'm home.' But the momentary joy was pressured back by the picture in front of me. The trees above the sea line, nothing but charcoal tree trunks. The sea line itself withdrew almost a hundred meters. The whole gulf that was under water was now a rocky beach. I tried to keep it together. But the drops of water sliding down my face made me feel like crying. I swam my way towards the beach. I got the creeps from an awkward feeling that something bad happened here. Suddenly, I felt a presence. I don't know where from, but a voice echoed. 'Calm down!' I made it to the beach and got out. Not a living soul around. I walked up the stairs from the beach towards the road above it. 'Don't!' The voice echoed again.
-Who are you?! Where are you?- I yelled hoping somebody would appear.
It was a fruitless attempt. As my sight reached over the top of the stairs I felt an impact of weakness and sorrow. My knees weakened and I dropped to the ground. I crawled to the top to see the sight again. I saw a someone in a sitting position, leaned on a rock. I ran towards that body and hoped I wasn't right. The person was dead. His neck was cut deep, all the way through to the spine. I rose his head and jumped back when I recognized the face. It was Micheal. Dead. Lying there. I turned around and noticed another body, decapitated, with a head not much further from it. A female. T. And Eugene, with his insides ripped outside right by her. Tony a bit further with his left arm ripped out of the socket, Jane's massacred body hanging from a tree trunk. I felt helpless, hopeless, all alone, Sorrow overflowed my eyes with tears, my breath grew harder. I grabbed my head and started screaming in agony. It was too much too bear so I closed my eyes creating a darkness to hide in, which eventually, conquered my mind.
