Location: Unknown at the time. Hopefully, somewhere on Earth
Time: Saturday, March 1, 2014, 11.32
I pressed the blue button on the inside of the capsule door and it opened with a sound of equalizing pressure. Yes, it was my first landing on Earth from outer space in a drop pod. They let me go a few hours after the conversation we had. A warm feeling on my face cheered me up.
'Ah, the sun.' I thought and smiled. I stepped out of the round pod and stretched my body and enjoyed the feeling of being back on solid ground again. I swift, but gentle breeze engulfed my body and brought a breath of fresh air into my nostrils, but I registered a smell that was nothing like fresh. I looked around and realised I landed on a football field in a small town. I heard a step break something and I turned around towards to source of the sound and remained surprised. It was something I could have expected though. Leh-nna was walking towards me from the other side of the field. Behind her I noticed something that struck me.
-Shit! I'm home!- I said out loud.
'Where are we exactly?' Leh-nna questioned me as she approached me.
-Fazana, 15 kilometers north of Pula. I used to come here with my family quite a lot.- I remembered.
'Aevos, I'm sorry.' Leh-nna gave a sound of grief to the echo in my mind.
It was an elementary school I noticed. It was devastated, only part of a wall was still standing. All around me, destroyed buildings, houses torn to the ground, the trees burnt down, no soul in sight. Bullet holes, car wrecks, remnants of weapons were scattered all around. The capsule started playing a noise for a short period of time, and then, the back of it opened. I was stunned.
-What am I gonna do with this?- 'I never fired a weapon before.'
'It is just a precaution, and you might wanna practice.' she heard my thought too.
I pulled out a 9 mm gun with a leather holster which I strapped to my belt and looked at the gun. Checked the ammunition and looked down the barrel, locked the safety back on and slid it into the holster. I pulled out a military knife, with a black blade, and sharp silver edge. It's holster was too with a leather strap, but I strapped it around my thigh. Then I pulled out a key. A car key. It had a pendant which resembled a symbol I noticed on the ship. It was the crest of the Prodyans. But the car key? What was it for?
'It's for a car.' Leh-nna said sarcastically.
-Really?- I was acting surprised. -But where is it?-
'Call it.' she said.
-Call it?- I didn't understand immediately, but then I noticed the button on the car key. I pushed it, and the sound of a car unlocking from a distance was heard behind an old house. I ran for it, but at first I almost fell. My steps felt easy, light and swift. I felt faster and stronger than before.
'It's the difference between the gravities. It makes you stronger here.' Leh-nna notified me. A meter and a half tall fence in front of me, I jumped over it with ease, almost like stepping over it. I got to the source of the sound, and remained astonished. It was a car I always dreamed about having. Not even having, just having a ride in it. It was a Chevrolet. A Chevrolet Camaro, the 2013 prototype of the ZL1 edition. There was a not on the windshield.
This will hopefully give you some pleasure and make it easier for you to do your mission. We don't want you to be in a bad mood. I know it's your favourite vehicle. So, this is a good luck gift. Xel
