Location: Somewhere in eastern Switzerland

There was little hope for anything in these times. A war torn world, under conquest of a Muslim alliance, soon to be invaded by an alien race. I was growing darker inside. I felt anger overcoming the purposes of unity, I felt like a stranger in my own society, like a thorn in my own eye. I wasn't pleased with what came to happen to me. I am not a part of our civilization anymore, neither shall I ever be again. What is the purpose then, of protecting this race, the Earthers, when I will have to leave soon after that?
'STOP IT!' I thought to myself while driving up a hill in Switzerland. I just passed by a lake still full of water and there was grass growing around it. This location seemed intact and prosperous in nature. The sun was already halfway towards the top of the skies and the warmth started taking place. But here, a fresh breeze of winds carrying the scent of nature, enriching the breathable air which fed my sorrow and anger with joy, calmness and peace. My ideology seemed pointless now. My thoughts mattered nothing, my ideas were irrelevant and my feelings were just in the way. My purpose was just defined. This is what I'm fighting for. This peace, this sight. This is a preview of the utopia this world has the potential to be. That is my motive, and my wish since I was a kid. No fighting amongst us, no wars on this planet that would be led between the same civilization, no hatred, no poverty. Everything for everyone. To live as one, as a civilization. We might even learn something from what is coming for us.
I suddenly found peace in my inner conflict, resting both sides of me into an agreement inspired by this sight of life. My discovery was great at that moment. Embrace the good and the bad. It is no of no importance and no difference. It is just a point of view.
'Beautiful, this place.' Leh-nna spoke looking through the window into the forest around us.
-Isn't it? The whole world used to be like this once.- I said. -But now, it is ruined, because of our expansion and the way we take everything for granted. Some people used to claim us animals, beasts, but it was completely opposite. We were human. We were what we learned. Animals don't destroy the nature, they adapt and evolve. However we, we destroy, we burn and pillage and then build our monuments, buildings and vehicles. We evolve too, but we evolve by consuming what lies around. We are not much different from the Sepellions, are we? Why are we worth saving? Have we deserved another chance or are worth something special? Why the effort?-
'You're right. You are not so different from the Sepellions. But you have that potential inside that will turn you the right way. Like us. We were not so different. But then we learned that greatest evolution lies in symbiosis with the nature. Mutual advantage. We learned how to use the energy of nature, but it is not destroyed or used to harm the nature itself. We co-exist. You will need guidance. You need to recreate nature to be able to survive and keep evolving. Your civilization has started falling apart. De-evolution was recorded among you.' she gave a lesson.
I didn't have anything to say to that. I just thought to myself that we might never learn, but we will try. At least, I will. That has to count for something. Or does it?
-We're here.- I said as I parked the car in the center of Luzern. No life so far. No signs of recent activity, but everything was intact. Just deserted. The sound of the the water hitting the shore was nostalgic. It was an enormous lake and it almost seemed as sea. The wind was blowing and leaves were rustling. Natural silence in a form of music to my ears. It was relaxing. Maybe we should have come here.
'Bad idea. This place would be torn apart, especially when the Sepellions came, if we had settled here.'
-I see why Amy chose this place.- I looked around. The buildings were old, but nice and pleasant with a warm feeling, the decoration of town was magnificent. A tree on every step, a green surface wherever possible. Liveful, but still, dead. Empty. No one was here. And now, all I have to do is find her.
