-Will he be alright?- Jane asked, worried looking at Aevos. They were back in the hospital. They placed him comfortably on a bed. Beside him Nidia and Jane were taking care of him. Leh-nna was giving them instructions. Alexandra was on a bed beside, unconscious too. Tony and Dan were tending too her.
-How the fuck should I know?- Eugene responded angry. He was mad because of Bex and how he played everyone out.
-He'll be fine. Both of them.- Tony turned to Eugene with a reprimanding face. Eugene shook, but understood his point.
-How will he take this?- Despo asked.
-Damn it. Maya and Dino.- Jane grieved for their loss. Dino was also a victim of Bex's insanity. He was killed by the church because he ran on his own after Bex. They recovered his body when they got to the church looking for Alexandra.
-This will make him learn. It's going to be a valuable experience for him. He actually killed for the first time.- Eugene was cold-blooded. Lately he was like that.
-Nonetheless, we have to get back.- Mike jumped in.
-What about them?- Tony asked looking at the bodies of Maya and Dino, covered with sheets on the floor.
-We'll bury them, of course.- Mike responded.
-Where were you when he needed you the most?!- Eugene yelled at Leh-nna. She didn't respond.
-What about Bex?- Tony asked.
-Leave him there. He deserves to rot.- Eugene answered angrily. Suddenly he was all but calm, as he usually was.
-He was our friend. We can't just leave him there!- Jane replied.
-WAS!- Eugene shouted. -The keyword is was. Look at yourself. Look at what he's done to you! And you would still treat him as a friend?!-
-Yes!- Tony stood up to him. -Yes I would! Because that's what makes me different from him. That's what keeps us going. Remembering the good things and always trying to do good thing!-
-That doesn't sound like you! Usually you're brutal and heartless!- Eugene replied. Everybody noticed that. Some were looking at him proudly and amazed. -What made you change?!-
-He did!- Tony pointed at Aevos. -He has proven me that there's good in the world. Countless times. He always pulled out the better in me.-
-Yeah! And look at what happened! His decision cost us three lives! It could have been just one if we had killed Bex right away.- Eugene was still mad.
-But he didn't give up on him! Someday that step will the key to the better future. He always hopes for the best and tries not to risk it. He would rather risk his life and, unfortunately, ours, just for that chance. The chance of something good happening. I would do that to! Wouldn't you?! After all that happened?! After everything bad that happened?!- Phillip finally snapped and yelled at Eugene with the full force of his mutated voice.
-He still has much to learn.- Tony said.
'So have you.' Leh-nna interfered in the conversation.
-What?!- Eugene replied.
'You, silence!' she roared at him, intimidating him. 'Phillip is right. Tony saw that too. You need to look up to him. But most important of all. You must be here for him. He is learning these experiences but you already know how it is. Keep him on the right path and don't let him astray. He will question his choices and if he is doing the right thing. You have to help him keep doing it. Value the good future, instead of life. Value the good possibility instead of the sorrow reality.'
Everybody was silent for a while, locked in thoughts and thinking about Leh-nna's little talk. Everybody knew that Aevos would change. But everyone feared in what way.

The sun was in my face, the smell of sea was in my lungs. The gentle wind caressing my whole body and bringing along a scent of lively nature. I was lying on the rocks giving me a warm feeling. I was observing the disperses clouds gliding around the sky. Every now and then, one would cross the path of the sun, hiding it's magnificent light. I was a normal human. No mutations, no unnatural mutations, no alien presence. A casual young man, carelessly enjoying in the sun getting sprayed by water every now and then. Everything seemed so irrelevant, so pointless. Maya. She was killed. Bex. He is gone. I killed him. I killed. That's a new experience. My friends went through hell and back and I put them through that again. Maybe they should be wiped out with all those twisted feelings. Maybe our history should be erased completely so we could never repeat it.
'How will that solve anything?' a familiar female voice echoed through my mind. I looked up and noticed her in a lying position, with her head leaned on her paws, lying beside me.
'It just might work.' I told Leh-nna who appeared out of nowhere.
'To stop such mistakes, somewhere those horrible consequences must be written to remind you of what happens.' she calmly explained. The atmosphere was too gentle to be able to worry about anything.
-You know what I meant.- I said.
'Wiping out everyone? Now that would be just too easy, wouldn't it?' she played an interesting card.
-True.- I laughed. -Am I dead? Have you come to help me cross?-
'You're not. I came to bring you back.'
-But here, it so ....- I couldn't find the right word.
'A utopia.' Leh-nna found it for me.
-Yes!-
'The future is unpredictable. Try and create a place like this. In the end, this is a dream of yours.'
-You're in my dream? You can do that to?- she didn't answer. Mysterious, as always.
'We gotta go. It's time for you to wake up and come back to were you're needed.' she started bringing me back to reality. I stood up and took a last look towards the endless sea.
-I know.-

I woke up and took a seated position, inhaling the pale air. I looked at Leh-nna. She was lying in the same position as before, beside my bed. Jane and Tony jumped as I woke up.
-Are you alright?! Aevos?!- Tony asked. I nodded looking at my hand, mutated. I glimpsed over the room and noticed to bodies, covered with sheets.
-What happened? Who is it?!- I looked around the room. -Dino?!-
-Yes. We found him by the church.- Tony explained.
-Church?- the word meant something. -Alexandra?!-
-She's fine.- Tony stepped aside. Behind, Alexandra on another bed was lying calmly, unconscious.
-Where is he?- I asked them.
-Where you left him.- Eugene answered.
'I'm sorry. I couldn't save them. He was too fast and I lost him at a point.'
-It's alright.- I didn't care. -We have to go. Take their bodies into the Touareg. Somebody carry Alexandra into the Camaro. Put her on the back seat. Leh-nna, you will go with Jane and Phillip so they don't by themselves.- I was giving out orders calmly. I didn't feel angry or upset towards anyone. I learned I painfull experience. I better cope with it. Everybody seemed surprised, They didn't expect something like this. -Nidia, take the BMW. Mike you'll help me. Let's go.-
-Where are we going?- Mike asked.
-To take Bex.- I replied.-
-Then what?- Eugene asked.
-We go back.- I replied. -We'll burry them home.-
