Chapter 18: Memories

I opened my eyes, everything is still to vague. I raise my eyebrow and looked around me, I can hear Justin arguing with someone “You won’t take her anywhere got it?” he said in a raspy voice.

Someone carried me and tried to get out I looked in his eyes and it’s Daniel carrying me, something is wrong. Justin pushed him on the wall, I heard the sound. He pushed him with such force.

Why are they arguing? “I’m taking her, I need her blood to make Isabelle happy” Daniel said as he picks me up on the bed again. I touched my nose and it’s bleeding.

Daniel dragged a dagger in Justin’s stomach and carried me, his speed is faster than Justin’s. He put me down and my senses came back completely.

Isabelle is crying, someone is in front of her and it’s her husband. I pursed my lips, I know what to do I have to let him drink my blood. I never saw her cry, she looked at me giving me the cue that it’s okay if she is going to be hurt also.

I got a rock and cut myself, my blood is starting to fall as I notice Isabelle getting weaker. I tried to run near them but it’s too late, she shook her head and cried on his chest.

Justin came and cut a piece of cloth from his shirt. He wrapped it around my hand and kissed me on the forehead.

“What you have done is not a good idea, you could have died” he whispered in my ears. Daniel went near Isabelle, she cried on his shoulder.

Daniels’ POV

As I hug Isabelle, I can’t stop being hurt as well by seeing her cry in front of her. I am willing to give her the life that she wants even if I am in it.

“Why are you so kind despite of what I’ve done?” she said and looked at me in the eyes. “It’s because I love you” I said, I already have the opportunity to kiss her but I won’t.

It’s disrespectful to do such thing, she continued on leaning on my shoulder. The memories are just coming back, the days when she’s still human.

I am afraid that one day I will fall in love with Mia because she’s like Isabelle. I can’t let Isabelle out there being devastated, she needs me and she deserves an answer.

“Thank you for being here for me, I’m just glad that you’re still the same” she added before letting me bury the body of her husband.

Mia’s POV

“Are you mad at me?” I asked Justin as he drives the car. He looked at me sharply, his eyes started to get lose when I looked in his eyes.

“I am afraid to lose you Mia, that’s why I am acting like this” he said as he tries to control his temper.

“I can’t just stand there and do nothing, besides Isabelle knows the consequence” I said in my casual tone. I looked outside of the window and wondered how many days she will get over her husband and if there’s still a possibility for her and Daniel on getting back together.

The wheels started going crazy, I remembered the accident that happened again in my life. It just suddenly flashed back “Justin!” I said in my high pitch with my eyes wide open.

Luckily the car stopped before we fell off the bridge “What happened?” I asked him. “I think I hit someone” he said and went out to check.

Minutes have passed and there’s still no sign of him, I went out of the car to find him. A wolf pound at me, its eyes are so deep and dark.

My heart is beating, his teeth are starting to show and I am starting to get scared. I don’t know what will happen next, I just hope that Justin is here.

He pushed the wolf “Leave her alone, she’s not Isabelle” he said and started to show his fangs. His eyes are turning darker and deeper, they are fighting in front of me.

This is horrible, I may lose Justin if I won’t do anything “Stop it, what do you want from Isabelle?” I asked and nearly cut my hand.

“If you won’t tell me the reason I will cut my hand and my blood will be wasted” I added and took a deep breath.

Justin looked at me unconscious, the ware wolf retreated and said “Don’t forget the deal of your brother” he said and left.

I went inside of the car and pursed my lip “I’m sorry I can’t think of any way to make him leave” I said and looked at him.

“I understand” he said and kissed my hand. “What do they want from Isabelle, what’s the deal?” I said as he started driving.

“Daniel talked to the fallens and asked them to allow him talk to Stephanie and the deal is that he will see her but he needs to give them Isabelle who they thought is the ancestor”.

“But they made their first and only mistake” he said as we wait because it’s traffic. It’s already one o’clock in the morning and it’s freezing.

He gave me his jacket and carried me to my room, luckily my window is open the moment I left home. He gently put me down on my bed and covered my body with my comforter. “Good night Mia. I will just be here next to you” he said and kissed my forehead before I closed my eyes.
