Chapter 20: Secret Unfold

Mia’s POV

I snoozed my alarm clock, it’s already nine o’clock in the morning and I am late for an hour. I have to go and help with the party that will be held near the school.

There’s a lovely garden there, it’s perfect for you can watch the fireworks later. You can also the whole city on top.

I am still wearing the same outfit since yesterday and my hair is really messed up. I quickly hit the shower and changed my outfit, Euiwhanne texted me.

Where are you, are you coming?

I pushed the button on my phone, I will be there after a couple of minutes. As they say it is better to be late than never.

What was I thinking? I hate this feeling right now, I am hungry and I need to quickly eat and went down to get a cab. I ran downstairs and quickly poured some cereal in my bowl “Need a ride?” Justin’s voice said.

“Why didn’t you wake me up?” I said in a rough tone. “Because you were so tired, we arrived here by one o’clock. There was a traffic, remember?” he said as he pours some coffee in a boiling water in a cup.

I looked at him, right we arrived here awhile ago at one o’clock a.m.

I chewed my food slowly, I don’t want to get hungry again later. There was money on the table left by my parents and a note stated: You had a great time yesterday, here’s some money. Don’t forget to focus still on your grades, just two more months and only a couple of days before your birthday. We love you our dearest Mia, sincerely yours; Your Beloved Parents.

There’s a smile on my face after reading the letter, the money is enough for me to have lunch. Actually it more than enough, because Justin will drive me home.

“You will drive me home later right?” I asked Justin and looked at him in the kitchen who is drinking coffee. He smiled at me “Of course I will always be with you”.

“Okay, I’m ready” I said after fixing my hair. I looked outside of the house and noticed that his car is not there.

“That’s right, I am not going to drive you because there’s a traffic along the road. So, we will get there through my speed”.

He carried me, I wrap my hands around his shoulder and took a deep breath before he started running. We arrived there, I combed my hair again.

“There you are” Dee said in a high pitch and hugged me. “Thank you for the lovely dress that you bought me, where’s Anjelika?” I asked her.

“She’s with Euiwhanne, they’re arranging the food for later” she said and looked at Justin whose hair is kind of messed up.

“I see” she added and cracked a smile. “He didn’t drive me” I retorted for she may think of other stuff. “What can we do to help?” Justin asked in his casual tone.

Dee looked at me, “What? I didn’t say anything”. But she might think of something that I don’t want her to think, I just kept quiet. Justin repeated his question “The both of you can help with the decorations”.

“Who compelled everyone to forget about your death?” I suddenly asked. “That would be me, of course” Daniel said and smiled at me.

“You can decorate that spot” Dee said and pointed the place. We already went and started decorating the place.

“What color looks better blue or green?” I asked Justin before picking table a table cloth for the tables.

“What about white, it’s better in my opinion rather than the two colors” he said in a polite manner. “And we can have the color blue for the chairs” he added.

“That’s perfect” I said and smiled at him, hours have passed and the cloud is starting to get dark. The lights are on, I look at the sky and it’s a full moon.

“Justin you must go” Anjelika said as she looks in his eyes. “Why?” I asked and raised my eyebrow, I hold Justin’s hand. “A ware wolf is going to be here in a minute, it’s not an ordinary kind. It may kill you” Anjelika raised her voice.

He kissed me quickly, “Anjelika’s going to be here whatever happens Mia, I love you” he said before leaving me.

Anjelika hold my hand and we started to run “Going somewhere?” the ware wolf asked us. I opened my eyes widely, it pound at me.

I fell on the floor with my eyes wide open “What do you want from me?” I shrieked. “Leave her alone, she’s not Isabelle” Anjelika said.

“Alexandria wants you to go home, there’s a letter for you. Are you excited to see your biological mother?” the wolf said before leaving me alone.

Biological, what does it mean? Anjelika hugged me. She took my hand and we went in her car, I fastened my seatbelt and she started driving.

Her speed is so fast, when we arrived home I quickly removed my seatbelt and went in the house. Tears fell on my cheeks as I read the letter,

Mia,

Look around you, time has told me that it’s time for you to meet your biological mother. Do you think that you already know the deepest secret? You just know the half of it. Your family is with me, come alone but it is better if you will come with Anjelika.

I grab my things “What is the meaning of this Anjelika who is my biological mother?” I cried. She remained silent and pursed her lips “Fine then, you’re coming with me” I said in a rough tone and pulled her hand.

I went in of her car and fastened my seatbelt “Drive!” I shouted and covered my face with both of my hands. Biological, am I adopted?

THEY are my real parents and I am not adopted, I can’t be. Why didn’t they tell me? But there’s a possibility because I don’t look like my parents or my grand parents from both sides.

My body is shivering, she parked her car and I ran outside to find my family. I found them tied up below a tree, I ran towards them and picked a rock.

“You think you can get away easily? Think again!” Alexandria chuckled and raised me up. She throw me, my head started bleeding.

“Stop, she’s not Isabelle. I am” Isabelle said in a weak voice, I can vaguely see her face but I can recognize her voice.

Justin carried me on his arms, “What do you want?” Daniel said as he gives Alexandria a menacing look. “I’m just here for a game” Alexandria chuckled.

“Mia do you even wonder why you look so different or why your blood didn’t match either of your parents?” Alexandria said as she walks around.

I nodded and listened to her words very carefully “Anjelika said that neither Isabelle’s blood matches with her parents” I said weakly.

“That’s not true” Isabelle said and closed her eyes before falling on Daniel’s arms.

“Anjelika, who is Mia’s mother?” Alexandria asked. “If you won’t tell us, bad things will happen to her other family. Tell us!” she exclaimed.

“Me, I am your biological mother Mia” Anjelika said in a soft voice. Alexandria already left after Anjelika said those words. This can’t be, I must be dead if I am her daughter.

But what hurts most are the words that came out from my mother’s mouth “It’s true, she’s your Biological mother”.
