Chapter 6: Take My Heart Away

Author’s note: I hope you will enjoy listening to the song as you read the chapter, the picture on the right is the picture of Mia that Kevin took years ago:)

Mia needs to put on her acting skills, “She died a couple of days ago ma’am and I’m so sorry.”

She cried. She was lucky that tears fell on her cheeks but at the same time feel horrible for lying in front of the poor woman.

She hugged Mia and cried, “I don’t want it to be published in the newspaper so I plan it to keep it as a secret.”

 Mia added as she stokes the hair of Dee’s mother. If only she can tell her the truth and that she will accept it, maybe it will be easy.

Maybe Dee can still be with one of her parents, her mother because she is closer to her mom than her father like Mia.

“But why now?” the mother of Dee asked weakly as she looks at Mia with a pair of teary blue eyes.

 “Because ma’am I honestly still can’t believe what happened”.

 Mia said as she thinks of the time when Dee’s in transition, she was just speechless and very pissed off at Daniel but she can’t blame him because Mia understands his condition that time.

Mr Thomas arrived after he parked their mini red Chevrolet car, “What happened dear?” he asked his wife.

 Tears fell on both of their cheeks after they heard what happened to their one and only child. Dee’s father clenched his fist and pressed his hand on his forehead.

His dark set of small grey eyes is filled with tears, his knees fell on the floor. Everyone stared at him, his wife tried her best to make her husband stand up.

“Dee, my only child. I want you to know that your parents are very proud of you and that we love you so much our beloved princess, Dee.” Her father sobbed.

Mia left them with a sad expression on her face and a very big deep hatred on her chest, someone grabbed her left arm. “What’s happening?” the voice asked.

Mia looked at the person and saw Kevin, Mia removed his hand and tried her best  to avoid him in any direction that she will go.

 “Why do you keep on running from me?” he asks as he follows Mia.

 She went to different directions, from left to right just to confuse and make Kevin stop but he didn’t.

“Is something wrong, I heard what you told to Mrs Thomas and is it true that Dee’s gone?” he said in the hallway.

Mia stopped and looked around the surrounding, it’s the only two of them. “I am not hiding something.” Mia stammered as she gasps for air.

“You can lie to everyone else not me, I know you Mia. You were mine before, I know if something is bothering you and I won’t stop until you get your old life back”.

“Something has changed the week before the exams, did Justin hurt you and where is he; isn’t he the one suppose in my position asking you why your eyes are now smeared with tears?” he said and wiped Mia’s tears.

Mia haven’t said a word, she just covered her eyes with both of her hands.

 It’s true that she is lost right now and that she needs Justin, Kevin  pulled Mia gently closer to him and hug her with both of his hands around Mia.

“It’s alright if you don’t want to tell me what’s bothering you but I want you to know that I love you Mia, I always will. You are never alone.” He said as Mia leans on his shoulder.

“I have the most beautiful gift that I have ever received that I received years ago, do you want to see it?” he said as he looks into the green eyes of Mia.

Mia smiled at him and nodded, he pulled something out from his pocket. “Aw, thank you for the memories.” Mia said as she looks at her picture that he took years ago.

Her tears are replaced by a smile on her face, the great deep hatred that she felt a while ago when she lied to the both parents of Dee is turned into something lighter.

“You’re welcome, I’m glad you like it!” he said and hugged her again, he took her hand “Where are we going?” Mia asked him.

“You will love it, I promise.” He said and cracked a smile. He called a cab, he whispered something to the taxi driver which made him smile.

Mia looked outside of the window, feeling nothing but happiness. Her phone vibrated, she inserted her hand on her right pocket and took her phone from her pocket.

 Siolyn texted her that she’s already at home, Mia wherever you are just have a great time I can handle myself.

As they reach the place closer, memories flash back in her mind. This is the first place where she first saw Kevin, he pay the taxi driver and opened the door for me.

“This is where I saw the girl that I promise to love forever,” He whispered in my ears.

“We are friends, you know that right?” I askedin a low voice, he nodded “Are you hungry?” he asked me as we walk in the park. “Because if you are I can call a pizza delivery.” He added.

The snow keeps on falling in their hair, “Coffee do you want to have?” he asked as he dials the number.

Mia nodded and gave him a smirk, Mia rolled big snow using both of her hands and threw it in his back as he orders.

Mia ran and hide, after ordering he starting searching for her. “Mia, miss gorgeous where are you?” he asked.

She keeps on laughing as he continues on searching for Mia, it’s been five minutes and the park is not that wide.

 He’s like her twin because he almost can read her mind and he knows where her favorite hiding place is.

 Mia went out of her hiding place and started searching for him, where could he be?

Author’s note: I know that this chapter is something different and kinda boring but I promise you my dearest readers that the next chapters will be better, I'm sorry if this chapter is about Kevin and Mia but I promise that  the next chapter will be more about Justin and Mia.
