Chapter fifteen - Teasing

Matthew POV

The boys keeps teasing me as I exited the dressing room. There howling like wolf as they keep giving side comment of what happened today.

Well it started this morning when Margaret walked in our class with my hoodie of course since I lend it to her out of good intentions and also it's also my fault why she needed to change her shirt.

Just as she walked in our class. All my classmates especially my teammates looked at her shocked. I don't know if she senses as how people gasped when they looked at her wearing my hoodie.

I never let anyone wear it. Even if I already been in relationship before but I keep my hoodie untouched. I don't know, I just don't feel like it. I want someone to wear it meaningfully but I am too confused to myself as how I easily give it to her just like that.

Even her cousin Chloe gives me a knowing look as she looked at her then me. She's been here in this school for years so she must knew how I treasure my hoodie.

I didn't missed how she interrogated her but Margaret just answered her honestly. She's not even suspicious about why her cousin asked her. She just sit there, eating till our teacher arrived.

"Captain, I didn't know your type is like her. We thought you want someone more like Abigail, feminine, conservative but sexy!" Johnny said to me as I walked in the field to practice.

"I also didn't say that Abigail is my type of girl. Obviously she's not since I don't courted her or gives her signal that I am interested in her!" I answered him.

"Poor Abi, she keeps giving you a longing look captain. Give the poor girl a chance, you both deserve each other. Rich, famous and smart!" Johnny said.

"Hahahah.. then the more reason he will not interested on her. Captain doesn't like woman whose famous. He likes it when she's feisty, strong and most of all shimmering legs!" Cole said behind me and I smacked him.

"What? I am right anyway!" He said as he throw his hands to surrender.

Just as I about to answer them. The coach whistle us to form a line. Thank goodness I would prefer to practice than explaining to my teammates how my hoodie landed on her.

After we done practice the coach said that I improve well. I even heard a teasing voice from the team saying that because I am in love. Thankfully the coach did not pick it up. Or else I don't want to explain about my Love life to anyone.

I didn't went to the dressing room instantly since I don't want to be the subject of their teasing. They will only keep asking me about why I lend her my hoodie.

I keep lying on the ground, staring at the blue sky. I heard a sound of voices coming from the dressing room. I assumed that they already finished cleaning and all dressed. So I stand up only to find Margaret walking towards the field.

"Your girlfriend is here!" Johnny said to me. I glared at him since I don't her to hear it.

She approach me while my eyes travel around her. She wear different clothes and there's a paper bag on her hand.

"Hey! I just want to give this back to you! Thank you for lending it to me!" She said to me and I smile nervously.

Does she can sense how nervous I am now?

"It's ok, I don't wear it anyway. You didn't have to return it to me now!" I said to her.

"Oh it's ok. Thank you!" She said and hand me the paper bag.

Then she turn around not bothering to give me one last glance.

"Awww our captain is in love. And looks like the girl is not interested at all!" Harold said making me snapped my attention to him.

"What are you doing here? Didn't the coach suspended you?" I said as I can't help but to get angry every time I saw him I remembered how he tried to intimidate a girl.

"I took my clothes in my locker captain!" He said while glancing at my back. We can still see her back from our way as she walked away from the field.

"Get out!" I said to him.

"Relax.. I have good news for you. I don't plan bullying that girl. I think I like her. I might want her to be my girlfriend!" Making me laugh.

"She punch you square on your face and kicked your balls. Do you think she get interested in your kind?" I said to him.

"You'll see!" He said and left.

"I just hate that guy. He think his the god of everything!" Johnny said at my back. "But captain no wonder you fall for that girl. She's very beautiful!" He commented.

"Not you too!" I said to him.

"Hahahah don't worry I don't have any crush on your little feisty girl. I don't want to get beaten by a girl. I didn't know your submissive type captain!" He said while laughing.

"Hahahahah.. if only you can see him how he stared at her every time she walked passed him!" Cole said and I smack him hard using my hand.

"Ouch.. I am going to be friend that girl and I will tell her that you're abusing me!" He said and I shake my head.

"As if you can do that. You can't even say a single word to Chloe. How about try to confess your undying love to her first before you befriend her cousin?" I fired back at him.

"Hey hey.. no way. Chloe as in the hot nerd Chloe is her cousin?" Johnny asked us.

"Stop giving her that kind of complement ok!" Cole said as he elbow Jhonny.

"Chloe is hot you know. I know you like her that's why I didn't make a move on her! You should step your level since the guy in the team would like to get to know her ever since she changed her way of look!" Jhonny said and I nodded in agreement earning a groaned from Cole.
