THE OUTER BANKS, PARADISE ON EARTH.
It's the sort of place where you either have two jobs or two houses. Two tribes, one island.

The island has two sides and you either belonged with the Pogues or the Kooks. There's also the tourons that would come around on a family vacation and then leave to come back a year later, but nobody considered them an actual group in The Outer Banks.

If you were able to afford luxury then you would live on Figure Eight, the rich side of the island. Home of the Kooks. Most people there have never had to work a day in their lives and wouldn't have to. Their massive homes and boats seem to make up for most of the personalities that the Kooks had.

The south side, or the cut as most people call it, is the home of the Pogues. Home of the working class who make a living busing tables, washing yachts, running charters. It wasn't all bad living the Pogue life though, you could do pretty much anything you wanted on the island with barely anyone's eyes on you. Being ignored and neglected was the Pogues specialty and sometimes it really payed off. This is the natural habitat of the Pogues, Pogues, the throwaway fish.

You would barely ever find the two groups actually getting along.

JOHN BOOKER ROUTLEDGE , known to most as John B, was the charismatic leader of the group. With his rugged good looks, easy smile, and magnetic personality, it was no wonder that everyone on the island knew his name. He was always up for an adventure, and he had a way of making even the most mundane tasks seem exciting and fun. Whether he was leading the Pogues on a treasure hunt or just hanging out with his friends, John B had a way of making everyone feel like they were part of something special.  John B worked for Ward Cameron, the wealthiest man on the island and the ultimate Kook of Kooks.
