THE POGUES NOW FOUND THEMSELVES PARKED AT THE DOCK. POPE VOLUNTEERED TO UNDERTAKE THE RISK OF BUYING THE BOAT TICKET FOR JOHN B. Lia observed Pope's peculiar behavior as he strolled around the front of the car. Kiara, sensing the need for discretion, told Pope to act nonchalantly. "When has Pope ever been capable of being normal?" Aelia quipped from the backseat, her voice laced with playful skepticism.
Pope peered through the open window, his head emerging. "Um...so, bad news," he began cautiously, clutching a flier that he handed to Kiara. Her eyes widened upon examining the paper before passing it to the others in the back.
The Routledge boy was hunched down, his view obstructed as he lay beneath the window line. Aelia took hold of the page, presenting it to the two boys seated beside her. The Brooks girl's gaze fixated upon the photo of John B adorning the flier, accompanied by an astounding reward of $25,000. "John B, you find yourself in a tough situation," she remarked, glancing over at the boy.
A wry smile crossed JJ's face as he accepted the paper from Lia and gestured towards the photo. John B responded with an exasperated eye-roll, failing to find JJ's attempt at humor amusing. Pope interjected, "The entire island is currently on the hunt for John B," he declared.
