Clara POV

The next day was semi-smooth. Amelia would follow me everywhere, and i mean EVERYWHERE. Even to whichever girls bathroom I went to, she would be right behind me, and when I went inside the stall, she would either be in the next one or waiting right outside. At some point, i texted Seth and Lisa the situation. I briefly told Lisa about Amelia, and Lisa does NOT like her one bit. She told me that if she wouldn't get suspended or expelled, she would have fought her already, but I told her not to worry about it. Right now, Lisa and Seth are waiting outside they restroom for me. Amelia has no clue that they're outside.

I sigh after flushing the toilet and leaving the stall to go wash my hands. Of course, Amelia leaves with me and washes her hands right next to me. After drying our hands, we leave the restroom.

"Oh hey, Clara!" Lisa yelled for me.

I turn towards her and smiled. "Hey, bestie!" I yelled back, purposely so that Amelia could get off my back.

"Let's have lunch together! We have to talk about going to homecoming!" Lisa mentioned.

"Yeah, let-" I was interrupted.

"Actually, Clara and I were going to our math class to talk to the teacher about our upcoming test. We wanted to clarify some stuff that was going to be on it," Amelia said.

"Um, no. You can go if you would like, but i am not going to her class during lunch. I perfectly understand everything that she's taught us, and I want to be with my friends and twin. I am pretty sure he would NOT be happy if I were to miss lunch," I replied back, which was true.

Right after my parents died, not only did my anxiety get worse, but I had stopped eating. I completely lost my appetite and I just didn't feel like eating in general. I had lost so much weight to the point where Lisa had called me a walking ghost once, but she said she wouldn't tell my brothers since i begged her so much. One night, I was walking downstairs, and just as I was about to reach the actual floor, I fainted. I was very lucky that Ryan was there to catch me. After I woke up, my brothers gave me a very concerning look, as well as a very long and annoying lecture about how i needed to at least eat something, even if it was a cracker. Ryan would always sit with me and make sure I at least ate a quarter of my meal, at first, then it became at least half, then three quarters, and then eventually a full meal, unless I was genuinely full. This continues to happen when its just the two of us, but he isn't as on top of it since I was able to gain most of my weight back.

Amelia let out a low, angry grunt. "Okay, fine. I will see you later then," she said, and went to our math teacher.

I sighed. "Thank you, guys. She wouldn't leave me alone. I don't want to be friends with her, but I feel like she's forcing the relationship," i complained. Seth took my hand, kissing it, and Lisa was rubbing my shoulder. We made our way to the cafeteria, grabbed our lunch, and sat down next to Ryan.

"I don't know what it is, but you're feeling stressed and I don't like it, Claire," Ryan said. "Sit next to me. Good, now give me your hand," he instructed. I gave him my hand, and he rubbed it while giving me a side hug. I rested my head on his shoulder after letting out a breath I didn't even realize I was holding. Seth and Lisa looked at me with a concern look. After a few minutes, Ryan let go of me and told me to eat my lunch. He said it was okay if I ate at least half, but that I would have to eat all my food tonight. I nodded in agreement.

As we were eating, Lisa held up to her words and talked about homecoming.

"So, i figured that the four of us could go together! My aunt works for a limo company, and she's willing to take us for free! Clara! We MUST go dress shopping together! This year's theme is a modern masquerade, which means we also have to find some cute masks! I hear that at some point, there is going to be a dance where everyone switches their partners throughout the song, which is at LEAST five minutes, so if you dance with someone for 30 seconds, that's 6 different people. I think it's going to be fun!" Lisa exclaimed with excitement.
