The Frightmare before Christmas

As the weeks went on, Amelia still tried to keep close contact with me, but she wasn't following me everywhere as much. I mean, sure she would sit with me in our classes, but she wouldn't follow me to the bathroom anymore and sometimes, she wouldn't sit next to us during lunch. There was one time when she showed up to our band rehearsal, which was random, but maybe she wanted a sneak peak of what was going to be on the concert.

However, two days ago I noticed a small bruise on her arm, along with a cut. I didn't ask then because maybe it was a little personal, but today I went up to her and questioned it. I distinctly remember a scared look on her face, then a serious one, telling me not to worry. She said she ran into a door knob, bumped her arm, and then didn't notice a piece of wood sticking out when she went to rub her arm, resulting in the cut.

But I don't believe that one bit.

After I questioned it, she's become even more colder. Amelia would constantly stare at me with this annoyed look, as if she really hated my guts, and I wasn't the only one who noticed.

Although I haven't seen or heard of any signs of Joseph, I have noticed this weird, blue car that picks up Amelia every day, and then a different colored car that's the same model and everything driving around my neighborhood at night. I have my suspicions that it's Joseph and my brothers do too. We tried informing the police, but they were being rude during that phone call and said that there was nothing they could do at that moment, since they haven't done anything harmful to us. For now, I'm not allowed to go anywhere at night by myself  unless I have two people with me at all times.

As far as Seth and I go, obviously our relationship has gotten bet and better since the last time you've heard from me. I even got so scared to confront my brothers since a week ago, I was given a hickey, and a dark one too. I remember looking in the mirror, horrified as Seth laughed his ass off.

"Seth, what the hell! You know my brothers, your bruises from them could be even darker than this!" I almost screamed in panic.

He came up to me and whispered in my ear, "it's my job to mark whats mine, baby."

I got straight shivers and froze. My face turned red as he continued to laugh and tease me. Luckily, the hickey was placed where a couple of my T-shirts could cover, but if i forgot, it would be over.

As of now, I am studying for my finals next week. We were informed that as soon as we're done with our exams, we could leave early! And the even better part is that half of the class is divided into two different rooms, to catch cheating, and Amelia isn't going to be in the same room as me, which means I can leave without an issue, sort of.

Because we were given the opportunity to leave early, I was told to wait for one of my brothers, Lisa or Seth to finish before I could leave. It makes sense, but it would honestly be nice to be given the chance to just go home on my own without worrying about being snatched. I guess things will just work itself out.

I decided to take a quick break and just look through some of my past text messages. I wanted to save Seth's for when I'm right about to go to sleep, for good luck! I went to Amelia's contact and scrolled through. As I was reading, I noticed some of my messages were a little too harsh, but then my eye caught a certain date and a certain message.

"What did you do this afternoon?

How far do you live from school?

Do you have any siblings?

Are your parents nice?"

That was a week after Seth and I kissed and a week after Joseph sent that creepy message. Every now and then when coming home from school, I would get this strange feeling, but then I would also get a text from her later that night. I have a feeling that Joseph is being this, and I should tell my brothers, but then that means I'll have an army of people surrounding me on the way home, and I really don't want that. Maybe i shouldn't text her? Christmas is coming up, so maybe I could say that I got side tracked with preparations, but who knows, maybe she'll still find a way to get my attention.
